Do NOT buy from this dealer, they are known for misrepresenting what they sell and have burned many buyers, With the car I bought it showed up with the following undisclosed but had to be known to them issue; -Ignition key won’t reliably engage and start the car -Air condition system doesn’t function, makes grinding noise -Headlights are intermittent sometimes fail to come on 4 out of 5 times -Missing key -Provided key provided doesn’t function to open/lock any doors or trunk -Stereo does function properly -Seat bolster cracking not in pictures -Coffee/brown stains all over the floor and rug -Fuel tank release wire is missing (admittedly a bit of a fine point) -Wheel shakes under braking -Wheel shakes when driving straight -Driver store/window squeaks constantly - Smells like smoke -Broken foam stuck in the A/C vents

I am submitting this review regarding what I believe were materially false and misleading representations made in connection with the sale of a 2002 Porsche 911 through Collectible Classics on the Hagerty Marketplace platform. I do not believe Amity Auto did anything wrong other than giving info to Collectible Classics when they weren't the ones that talked with Amity Auto. I purchased the vehicle in reliance upon representations made in the auction listing that the car had undergone a Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI) by Amity Auto and that the inspection found no issues, leaks, or concerns. These statements were presented as factual information regarding the vehicle's condition and materially influenced my decision to bid and purchase the vehicle. Shortly after taking possession, I learned that a prior winning bidder had ordered and paid for a limited inspection focused on bore scoring and paint concerns and subsequently declined to complete the purchase. Collectible Classics nevertheless characterized that limited inspection as a PPI. After obtaining my own inspection, numerous defects requiring substantial repairs were identified. I then contacted Amity Auto directly and was informed by both telephone and email that it did not perform a Pre-Purchase Inspection on the vehicle. Amity Auto confirmed that its inspection was limited in scope, related only to bore scoring and paint concerns, and was not intended to serve as a comprehensive evaluation of the vehicle's overall condition. I have also obtained confirmation from both the private individual who ordered the inspection and the individual who performed it that it was not a PPI. Collectible Classics had no involvement in ordering or performing the limited inspection and could not offer knowledgeable information on its results as stated by the email from Amity Auto. This distinction is significant because a reasonable consumer understands a PPI to be a comprehensive inspection designed to identify material mechanical defects and maintenance concerns. Had I known that no actual PPI had been performed and that the inspection referenced in the listing was limited in scope, I would have obtained my own inspection, adjusted my bidding strategy, or declined to purchase the vehicle altogether. Collectible Classics operates in the specialty and collector vehicle market, where PPIs are common and well understood. Given their experience, it is reasonable to expect that they understand the difference between a limited inspection and a true Pre-Purchase Inspection. Despite being provided with documentation from Amity Auto, repair estimates, and other supporting evidence, Collectible Classics continues to deny responsibility and characterize the inspection as a Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI). This inspection was purportedly performed by Amity Auto, a neighboring business that describes itself as a "2 Man Show" and a "general tire and auto repair shop". Despite repeated requests, neither Collectible Classics nor Amity Auto has produced the inspection documentation that was referenced during the auction and represented as available to the winning bidder.

Purchased a vehicle on Bring A Trailer (BaT) on Feb. 10. The dealer intentionally hid damage in photos and used old (non-current) photos for the listing. They lied about the condition of the car. Greg Slye, Sales Director, was incredibly responsive when accepting payment, but since has not called back or responded to 4 voicemails and multiple emails requesting a resolution. Greg said his job was to ensure the vehicle we received matched the photo and description of the listing. We received a car with a cracked windshield, severely cracked internal door frames with black paint slapped on top, stuck button, car light out, warped trunk interior, and hidden/undisclosed paint and other damage. Insult to injury... it was also covered in dirt/mud and bird droppings. We have photos of the vehicle before the enclosed transport that prove the damage was visible in/on the vehicle before sale. Will update with resolution.

Bought my MINI Roadster on-site in September 2024...great car at a great price, exactly as described on CC's website. Everyone there made it easy, and made sure my wife and I were happy with the car before we drove away. Very satisfied, and highly recommend Collectible Classics!

The seller provided photos of the bottom of the engine, all nice and clean and dry. Seller said there were no problems with the car. After I purchased the car, had it delivered and drove it 200 miles, the bottom of the engine was soaked with oil, the exhaust near the bell housing was covered with oil and the car smokes under the hood after driving. The car came off the delivery truck smoking and I wondered why. Surprise! The car has a leaking rear main seal.
