Update... BUYER BEWARE... After driving the vehicle for 3k miles, we continue to run into issue after issue with the vehicle. The vehicle was never shipped back to PA. Ultimately they shipped me a new catalytic converter and covered the labor. In my opinion, this vehicle was not properly inspected before sale. And if so, they sold it knowing it had underlying issues. I personally would not trust their mechanics. If I would've seen this vehicle in person and inspected it, not 1% of me would've purchased it. We are stuck with approximately $3400+ in repairs. Ultimately forcing us to sell the vehicle and take a $6-7k loss. Be very cautious when thinking about purchasing through this dealership. Original review... After some careful reflection and conversations with the dealership, I am amending my initial review. Chris has been in constant communication with me the past few weeks and we are working together to take care of the concerns around the vehicle. We purchased a 2004 4runner in November 2025. This was our first time purchasing a vehicle sight unseen, online. I was super skeptical. I asked for pictures and a video of the vehicle running, in which Dave (salesperson) obliged. I also inquired about the condition of the vehicle. If there were any mechanical issues, dents, scratches or rust on the frame. Dave insured me that the vehicle was in good mechanical condition and that it went through an inspection at their shop. We moved forward with the purchase, trusting the word of Dave on the condition. Upon receipt and inspection of the vehicle, it was in a more worn state than expected or advertised (in my opinion) from the pictures online. But I also understand that it's a 22yr old vehicle and will have wear. After initially driving the vehicle, the check engine light came on after 9 miles. After taking the car to the mechanic, I found out it needs a catalytic converter, all new struts and shocks, the brake modulator is weak, and the upper ball joint boots are open ($2300 for converter/suspension). I contacted Chris (sales manager) about the issues. Mainly the brakes and converter. I plan on replacing the suspension anyway. Again, understanding it's a used vehicle and will require some repairs. After conversations with Chris, he agreed to ship the necessary parts to my local shop for repair and cover labor fees, or have the vehicle shipped back to their shop in PA to have the repairs made. I would just recommend, with any vehicle, to either view the vehicle in person or have a third-party inspection done.
