DGL Motors, a pre-owned vehicle dealership located in Rutherford, NJ, exhibited a lack of professionalism, particularly concerning their failure to uphold commitments. I initiated contact several days prior to my intended visit to the facility. They subsequently followed up with phone calls and scheduled an appointment for Saturday. Upon my arrival at the dealership, having traveled from Connecticut, I engaged with the sales team, only to discover that the whereabouts of the vehicle were unknown. Ultimately, the vehicle in question, a BMW X6, was located at an auto body repair shop undergoing dent repair and headlight replacement. Consequently, I was unable to inspect the car. I was then asked if I would be interested in an alternative vehicle. This experience resulted in a significant expenditure of time, and I strongly advise prospective customers to explore other options. Regrettably, I anticipate that this review and feedback will be intercepted by the dealership prior to its public dissemination, thereby preventing its exposure to the general public.

Good experience at DGL motors. Keep in mind the online price is based on a 20% down payment so add 20%. Still a good deal usually. My car was extremely dirty, should have been cleaned before hand. Busy place, nice cars, legitimate dealer.

Pricing is a scam. They advertise 20% lower than asking than the real price online to make you see their cars first. If you don’t read the fine print, you will waste your time driving there.

I was interested in one of their vehicles. I’m an out-of-state buyer. He refused to tell me what the actual price of the car was unless I traveled 500+ miles to discuss it in their showroom. Ok, buddy.

I went to buy an SUV for my son. This company appeared at the top of the list for lowest prices on Cadillac Escalades. They do this by putting in the very fine print that their prices are based on 20% down so the price online is to buy 80% of the vehicle, this is a scam to look competitive because the online companies like Auto Tempest and Cars.com don't account for this. Basically their prices are not competitive, but being at the top of the list lures you into the dealership. I have found no other dealerships online that do this. When you show up they ask that you give them your license and they tell you they are going to make a copy of it. I asked why do I need you to copy my license to just look at cars. they said because people pretend to be somebody else. I told them that unless and until I want to test drive or buy a car I am giving them nothing and I will just leave. They let it go. This is really just another way to collect all your personal information. The SUV I looked at smelled like cleaning solution and Cigars, basically it smelled terrible. Inside the car screwed into the ceiling was the railing for a taxi divider, down the side wall between the front and back door Velcro strips were stapled right into the fabric. Who would buy such a car? There were also lots of scratches on the outside. The manager came out and said all this could easily be fixed but I am not sure how. Then the manager (who was a stereotype right out of central casting) starts showing us cars and claiming they were formally owned by famous people for example he pointed out an actor from Law and order owned this Range Rover over here, I think he got the idea from the John Voight episode of Seinfeld. Just non stop stories that had nothing to do with the car along with irrelevant compliments of my son and I to get our guard down. At the end of it the bottom line was the prices online are total xx and this was a complete scam. He claimed he's not responsible for what cars.com or Auto Tempest puts online. He claimed this dealership was part of Empire like that meant something. The bottom line is that they are not competitive and won't deal with you if you understand how pricing, fees and financing all work. I would avoid this place. In our case they didn't give the exact number but based on what they said the real number to buy the car BEFORE taxes fees and finance charges was about 10k more than advertised.

Advertised price is not true, at dealership they will increase by 20% and add 1,000 in fees. This is predatory and I against the terms of service for cars.com. Places like this are why people hate going to used car lots. Stay away!
