Based on that representation, I moved forward with the trade. Less than 30 days later, the truck broke down completely, and a certified mechanic has now confirmed it needs a new motor. This is a serious issue that goes far beyond what was disclosed at the time of sale. I understand the vehicle was sold “as-is,” but that does not excuse misrepresentation. The dealership minimized the problem as emissions-related only, when in reality the truck had a much larger and more expensive issue. I trusted this dealership with a major purchase and have been left with a truck that failed almost immediately. I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business here to be very careful and to verify everything independently before signing.
