Write a reviewPurchasing a car from this dealership was a horrible experience. I confirmed they had the car I wanted to purchase at 4:30pm, told them I was booking a flight to purchase the car, I was at the dealership at 8am the next morning. Guess what, they didn't have the car. It is obviously a bait and switch situation. I ended up spending 7.5 hours there, spending 4K more than the car they were advertising (Which the advertisement was still on the website the entire day I was there). They went through 4 different cars that day; 1 was the bait car, 2 was a car that had a bad battery (I found that out after I had the contract completed), 3 was a nice car the sales manager pointed out as the car I was buying, and 4 was the car I drove off that had a scratched-up window and door dings. He was slick about it. He was sitting in the driver seat and had me in the passenger seat, so the doors were open when we switched for me to drive it. I wasn't able to see the dings or scratched until I was done with the contract and was a couple hours away charging the car for the first time. This dealership will also try to charge you a fee to clean the car. Know this, fees like this are optional and they can't force you to pay them. I would never do buisness with them again or recommend them to anyone.

I had a very BAD and disappointing experience at OC Chief Auto in Riverside. Before coming in, I spoke with Ernie and explained that I would be driving about an hour to visit the dealership. Because of that, I expected clear communication and basic respect for my time once I arrived. Unfortunately, when I got there, I felt like I was barely helped. I understand that a salesperson can be busy with other customers, but I was left waiting without clear updates or proper communication. Ernie said he was going to check the application, but I was not given a clear explanation of what was happening or how long it would take. I also asked another sales representative for help, but he said I was "Ernie’s customer" and did not assist me. That made the visit even more frustrating because I had already driven a long distance and no one seemed willing to take ownership of the situation. Overall, the experience felt unorganized and unprofessional. I left feeling like my time was wasted. Based on my visit, I would not recommend OC Chief Auto in Riverside to someone who expects clear communication and professional customer service.

Huge waste of time. Called first thing in the morning and asked specifically if they had a specific VIN number. Ernie said yes he definitely did. Drove 2 HOURS to buy the car cash. As soon as I got there he tells me they didn’t have any of the cars I was interested in. What a waste of time and money. Absolutely TERRIBLE way to do business. Don’t trust ANY of the listings, DON’T trust ANY of the pricing. Don’t trust Ernie. Absolutely livid. Shady business, shady people. Don’t waste your time, don’t listen to these other reviews, as they were probably convinced to buy another car with a higher price and higher mileage like I was. Typical dealership lies. Stay away at all costs.
