I took my new car for the first scheduled maintenance ahead of the recommended schedule. I was advised by the service department that I needed my rear differential fluid changed at around 7000 miles. After I agreed to it to keep my warranty, I asked to get my owner’s manual out of the vehicle. The owner’s manual indicated that it did not need to be changed until between 15,000 and 30,000 miles. I was also told that an indicator light came on my dash saying that it needed completed. I am very careful to complete all maintenance to maintain my warranty and took pictures of the service screen before taking the car in for maintenance. There were no indicators that any service was needed at that point (including an oil change) as I was just taking the car in ahead of schedule because of an upcoming trip. I’m disappointed and feel that I cannot trust this dealership.

When you were in for your complimentary oil change, we had a conversation regarding how the advisor's job is to recommend services to you based on what the maintenance schedule suggests and that you do not have to opt into these services. The service advisor will always provide maintenance recommendations based on manufacturer guidelines, vehicle usage and technician recommendations. We understand your concern regarding the recommendation for a rear differential service. We're disappointed to hear you felt pressured into a service and the explanation didn't align with your understanding of the maintenance schedule. Very disappointed with my recent service experience. I brought my low-mileage vehicle in for an inspection, oil change, and wheel repair, only to later discover the dealership charged me nearly double what the third-party wheel repair actually cost them. No one reviewed the final bill with me before payment, and when I called to question the large markup, the explanation only added to my frustration. Between the attempted upselling, credit card surcharge, and lack of transparency, I left feeling taken advantage of instead of valued as a customer. Unfortunately, they have lost my future business for both sales and service.
