ChatGPT helped me make a list of possible replacements for my aging 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee. After identifying the Mercedes EQS SUV, it explained that many Mercedes purists felt the vehicle had too much technology—which was exactly what I wanted as a gadget enthusiast—and that the loss of EV tax credits and other market conditions had created an exceptional buying opportunity on the used market. I’d never even ridden in an electric vehicle before, but after searching nationwide, we realized the exact loaded, dark silver model I wanted was sitting right across the LA metro area at Walters Mercedes-Benz in Riverside. It had virtually every option. As a retired TV producer, I value efficiency and dislike dealership games. I went in for service. I was warmly greeted. I expressed a couple of concerns I had. Ross Geiger listened attentively. After a preliminary check, Ross determined I need not be concerned about one thing. Saved me $1000 right there. A requested loaner car was issued. A few days later my car was ready. Corrections made. All is well. No charge! I also really appreciated the video sent by the mechanic. I shall return (as needed).
