I went here convinced I was just going to look, as I was in a very tight bind financially but equally desperate. Bob greeted me with a smile and whisked me away to his desk where he worked hard to get me a fantastic deal on a solid car - and he succeeded. No cash down, affordable, reliable. The relief I feel is only surpassed by my gratitude. Bob was also one of the most pleasant salespeople I’ve ever met, and his kindness was genuine. Thank you for helping me, Bob.

A Truly Pleasant and Honest Car-Buying Experience I was

A Truly Pleasant and Honest Car-Buying Experience I was feeling really upset this morning because of a dealership that kept changing the price, but then I happened to find a car that caught my eye on a website. Then I made an appointment at Merchants Auto for a test drive. At first, the place looked a bit quiet, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. But from the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how friendly, professional, and proactive everyone was. There was about a $3,000 difference between the price I saw online and the one initially quoted at the dealership. I mentioned this and also showed them an offer I had received from another dealership the day before. I told them that if they could match that deal, I’d sign right away. They worked hard for nearly an hour — checking different options, running numbers — and finally made it happen. I signed the paperwork and made the down payment on the spot. Even better, the finance rate they offered was about half of what another Boston-area dealership had quoted me, which helped offset that $3,000 difference. What impressed me most was that the price we agreed on during negotiation was exactly the same when it came time to sign the papers — no hidden fees, no surprises. It was a bit of a drive to get there, but it was absolutely worth it. I’m genuinely happy with my purchase and the entire experience. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely come back here when it’s time to replace my wife’s car!

The deal was easy to make, went quickly when it was time

The deal was easy to make, went quickly when it was time to sign papers. I reached out for copies of certain documents and they were sent immediately. Best case shopping experience I’ve had in a long time

Deceptive dealership.

Deceptive dealership. I was quoted 899 dealer fees that came in at 1072. Told I wouldn’t pay taxes because it was an out of state purchase but they had taxes in the quote. They told me it was because of the bank. Santander Consumer is the bank. Google them. Never received the inspection on the vehicle. The direct line I was given for the sales person went to a different dealer. Beware, they seem shady

I purchased a 2023 Ram Pro master yesterday, as soon as

I purchased a 2023 Ram Pro master yesterday, as soon as we left the driveway the gas light comes. Who does that, no gas. The vehicle has been sitting on the lot all winter, on an empty tank! On the highway the van would not go above 65 mph, a governor? this was not disclosed. This is not a dealership, more like an auction house.

Sold us a vehicle for our CHILD that needs a new engine

Sold us a vehicle for our CHILD that needs a new engine within 5 months of the purchase. They refuse to acknowledge that the car had issues when it was purchased even though the check engine light that they fixed at time of purchase relates exactly to the cause of the engine failure. They lied to us and told us it was just a censor replacement code. I called and asked for the codes and then had my current mechanic look them up and he confirmed the issue existed at time of purchase. Merchants refused to help in any way--they will not take the car back, they will not allow a trade in for something that does run, and they refuse to even give any sort of discount to help replace the engine. I didn't buy the extended warranty; the car had only 83k miles on it and a 2018. I also looked up the extended warranty company reviews when it was offered, and there were so many saying it was a scam, therefore, it didn't seem like a good purchase. A good business would HELP customers. I was helping my stepson buy a car, and they knowingly sold us a car with a bad engine. The fact that they are ok doing that to a child is beyond unethical and wrong.

I have had several transactions with this company.

I have had several transactions with this company. The model is great but the execution is awful. There has never been a perfect result. I am ALWAYS chasing them down for something. Once I submit payment everyone disappears. I am the fleet manager of a company in New England and this could be such a great partnership but they do everything in their power to sabotage every deal I have ever made. From cars showing up damaged to showing up without license plates it is always a crap show. And I can never get the sales people on the phone. Mike is gone now so maybe Zach inherited a mess but on the latest transaction,the car was paid for on 11/6 the car was delivered with a huge dent in the door on 12/4 after I sent several emails, etc..Now it has sat in the parking lot for a week because Merchants cannot get their act together to pick it up to repair it. Meanwhile I have a sales person at our company who has nothing to drive since mid-November. I add several vehicles every year, I have also utilized the Guarantee-Buy program on several occassions--since Merchants is literally in my backyard. I will reach out to their competitors--I don't care if they are located on the other side of the country--it has to be better than this!
