I’m just Correcting a recent post that I wrote about University Ford I’m 100 percent satisfied with Wesley he’s a Great representative at the University Ford team and I appreciate him for just taking the time to get me in at the last minute because I Didn’t call in advance before bringing my car, and Wesley took out the time to diagnose and fix My Car and he did an Excellent Job I feel bad saying that he wasn’t really doing what I thought should have been done, So Please Please Don’t take the last posted review regarding my experience with them at University Ford North because I Would and Am going to Tell All of My Friends and Family to please go to them if you’re in need of Excellent Service, Professional Service and Great Work done to your Ford vehicle, Please Please Go to University Ford North on Roxboro Road in Durham!!! I purchased a Mini Cooper from them on the 28th of January and the night before we came to pick it up I get a call at 9pm from my sales agent (Jennifer) stating that the car cannot be driven home due to a plastic cover for the motor missing. She states that I can come purchase the vehicle, test drive it, and they will have it delivered to my house in NO MORE than a week. I get there, test drive the vehicle and was told that it will be at my house by friday(Feb 3rd). Mind you the vehicle was able to be test driven but not driven home?? We looked at the motor and it was a piece that could be easily snapped on. Anyways, throughout the week I call to make sure everything is going smoothly and rarely am I getting an answer from my sales agent(Jennifer), and when I am she starts backpedaling on what she’s said stating that she never said the vehicle would be here by Friday but that the part will be here by then. The delivery is unknown until the part is installed and might be here by Sunday.. but now she doesn’t know. Which is a blatant lie considering me, my fiancé, and my 7 year old sat right there and listened to her say it would be delivered by the 3rd. My fiancé then calls the parts and service dept to get a clear answer and turns out they ordered the wrong part and it is now supposed to be there monday(6th). At this point we’re feeling like we’re getting a run around. My fiancé then contacts Dan (the manager) since the sales agent can’t seem to figure this out for us. Dan tells my fiancé on feb 3rd(friday) that the car now needs a wiring harness and some other part and that both parts should be delivered and installed by Monday or Tuesday and car should be delivered Tuesday. We were then told by that Friday, Friday comes along and we’re then told Monday-Tuesday, Tuesday comes along and we’re told Thursday (hopefully). We have called Dan many times and every time we do he’s either not answering or “stepped out of the office”. Then when we FINALLY get him on the phone he talks over us the entire time and says he will “let us know updates”.. well of course on most occasions he doesn’t actually do so. ALL we’ve gotten is a runaround with these people. I already have a payment showing due at the end of the month (2 weeks away) and my car isn’t even here. They keep finding a reason to not deliver my car.. I’m a creature of habit and usually shop at the same places if I have great experiences but this was one of the worst ones I’ve ever had. I will never shop here again and I will NEVER recommend ANYONE shop here. I’ve warned my family and friends in the area of NC to avoid University all together. Fix your business and get better employees and then MAYBE you’ll get better reviews. If you’re shopping for a car.. you’re WAY better off going up the road to another dealer to avoid this problem.

From the Salesman Steve Bray to the GM Jamie Young and the FI Manager Stephone White the process could not have gone smoother. I would highly recommend this dealership.

The salesman, Tim Pleasant, was by far the most professional and easy to work with salesman that I believe I have ever worked with. Tim was very timely in getting requested information back to me and always followed through on what he said he would do. Tim took the time to take a video of truck as well as took time to get a mechanic to help verify question I had about the engine. Tim is truly committed to providing a great customer service and making sure the buying experience is as good as possible. Thanks Tim

Great customer service in sales with Tim Pleasant, service department was great. Will definitely contact Tim when it's time to trade again as I always buy Ford. Really liked the dealership and the atmosphere.

I had been looking for a car for my teenage son and after having a not so great experience with another dealer. I found a 2010 Chevy Cobalt which appeared to be in mint condition, so my son and I took a little road trip. David Harrington was our salesmen and he assured me over the phone the car ran just as good as it looked. He was correct. They were also able to work with me on the price a little; (which was nice). Everyone from the Finance person to the Cashier were so personable and reassuring. I would say if you are looking for a car New or Used call David Harrington 1st because he knows the business and is great at what he does (he won't try to talk you into something you don't want) and the rest of the team are just as nice and knowledgeable. Thank you University Ford North, Janice

Carlos reached out to me after seeing an ad I posted on Craigslist for my car that I had posted for sale! I came in and he helped me out so much to get my car traded in and paid off completely, and then helped me find a car in my budget. He was not pushy at ALL, and didn’t try to talk me into anything more than he knew I could afford! He took his time with me and was extremely patient. He even suggested I test drive more than one vehicle to decide which one I liked the most! I highly recommend him to anyone who is wanting to make sure they don’t feel pressured into anything, want to feel comfortable when buying their car, and TRUST that they are getting the best deal!

University Ford North went above and beyond to service my 2017 Ford Escape. It was having an electrical issue that was difficult to diagnosis but the service department fit my car into their busy schedule and kept with the car until the issue was resolved. They were professional and extremely helpful in keeping me updated on the status of my vehicle and following up with me to be sure the issue was resolved.

Sales experience was good initially. Bought a used 70k truck from them with clean carfax and their inspection showing no accidents. On the two hour home drive the front adaptive cruise control sensor didn't work at all and showed a fault code and the drivers door came loose and began shaking violently on the interstate. Took it to local dealer and had bolts tightened and they advised me that the entire side of the truck had been replaced. After contacting the management at University Ford North, they implied that the truck was sold as is, and they would basically give me 10k less for the truck I had just purchased on trade, therefore leaving me with a 17k rollover into another vehicle!! Have ANY used vehicle from this dealership inspected thoroughly! Even if they claim the carfax to be "clean" Very disappointed.
