I will never ever go back to this store again.

I will never ever go back to this store again. Nothing but tricks and lies during the entire sales process. Any follow up tasks were not timely- had to constantly call back and follow up with Sales / Finance team. Warranty refund process was delay upon delay and with no concern for refunding $3k of my money. The only person that was upfront and honest was our Service guy.

Went in on 8/18/25 due to a nail in my tire.

Went in on 8/18/25 due to a nail in my tire. The car was ready on 8/21/25. After a couple weeks I noticed there were some scratches on the inner lip of my wheel with the flat that had been replaced. I took some pictures of the damage and sent it to my advisor, Kevin Reynoso on Tuesday 9/2/25 to review. I was told then on Wednesday 9/3/25 that footage would be reviewed and I’d have an answer by Thursday 9/4/25. I did not get any communication. I reached out on Friday 9/5/25 only to get an automated out of office answer. I received a follow up back from Kevin on Monday 9/8/25 saying I’d have an answer by the following day. I did get receive a response via text on Tuesday 9/9/25, but only saying that my request was denied and that a discount could be applied for fixing the wheel. I immediately called Kevin and requested to speak to his manager, CJ Nemec. He was unavailable, but I was assured he would contact me by the time he was leaving that evening. 7 PM rolls by and nada. Zilch. I reach out again the next day via phone on Wednesday 9/10/25 and hear that CJ is off for the day so I speak with TJ, another service manager and he said he’d have CJ reach out to me the next day on 9/11/25. It’s now Friday 9/12/25 and it is still radio silence. This is just flat out poor customer communication! I have zero issues with the claim being denied if the damage was present prior to me dropping off my car for service, but if you have the technology to have footage to review share it with the client to alleviate any doubts!

Unfortunately had to follow up and readjust my rating due to lack of communication and transparency. Went in on 8/18/25 due to a nail in my tire. The car was ready on 8/21/25. We had an amazing experience.

We had an amazing experience. Juan Andrade was outstanding. A test drive ended up on a great deal. We feel it was fair and transparent. Thanks McGrath Honda and Juan for creating such a wonderful experience! We strongly recommend this dealer and Juan!

I don’t recommend buying from this dealer.

I don’t recommend buying from this dealer. They are deceitful and slimey in how they conduct their business, from closing on the sale to getting financing finalized. First, the prices advertised on their website don’t exist. They throw on a bunch of extras that are not optional (splash guards, paint protect, etc etc), so their prices will be almost $2,000 higher than advertised. You’ll only find that out when you are in the dealership. Next, they reneged on matching a price I got for another car after they said that they would (from Aldo). After that, we went into financing, which was another situation that was very sleazy. Among other things, the finance manager (Jack Metz) casually threw in an extended warranty for $2,900 without even asking me! When I challenged it and told him I didn’t want the extended warranty, I got the hard pressure sale tactics that didn’t relent. Additionally, when I asked why he put that warranty in the package without even asking me, he said “you said you were willing to spend $xxx per month on payments and we were still well below that.” Really???? What garbage!!! My word of advice – make sure you research the car dealer from which you want to buy in addition to the car you want to buy. There are a lot of Honda dealers in the Chicago area. You don’t need to be dealing with this sort of nonsense. Stay away!

At no point in the process did I feel pushed, uncomfortable, or manipulated the way you often can in these situations.
