Nissan is recalling more than 168,100 examples of its Armada SUV and Infiniti QX56 and QX80 SUVs over an incorrect weight rating on the certification label.

There are lots of choices among the cheaper-to-buy-and-drive mid-size SUVs that, when properly configured, can safely tow at least 5,000 pounds.

When properly equipped, these 2023 SUVs offer excellent all-around capability with maximum tow ratings ranging from north of 8,000 pounds to 10,000 pounds.

The 2023 QX80 gets standard Amazon Alexa connectivity and three years of Infiniti Premium Care, the brand’s maintenance program that covers oil changes, inspections and tire rotations.
