2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

A new study by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has revealed that most mid-size SUVs lack good protection for rear occupants in frontal crashes.

The list of 2022 cars with manual transmissions skews mostly to affordable models and those that are more enthusiast-oriented, but there’s still a decent range of choices.

The IIHS has issued a marginal rating for the 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited in the driver-side small overlap crash test after it flipped onto its passenger side during the agency’s latest evaluation.

Mid-size SUVs fared better than their compact counterparts in an updated crash test conducted by the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety.

A 7-inch touchscreen now comes on all but the 2022 Wrangler’s base trim level, but changes are otherwise minimal over the 2021 model.

Diesel engines are known for their reliability, low-end torque and highway fuel efficiency, but diesel cars are gone from the U.S. market, and there are few SUVs and pickup trucks left.
