This is our 5th Equinox

The Equinox is probably the most reliable vehicle I have owned and i have owned over 30 cars. My wife loves all the new safety features and my daughter loves the heated seats in back. All in all I think this will be our best one yet. Also I love the 2.0 turbo, great acceleration and the ability to drop to FWD to save on gas is terrific.

Reliable Diesel Equinox

Even though I?ve had my Diesel Equinox only a week. I?ve done a considerable amount of research on them. I?ve been researching this vehicle for about 8 months, as soon as I heard that Chevolet was making one. And so far it has lived up to everything (good) that I?ve read. Some say for the price verses the cheaper cost of unleaded gas that it?s not worth the value but I couldn?t disagree more. First of all the Diesel Equinox surpasses the 40 MPG on the highway and if you have access to a commercial account to purchase Diesel, you can get it at wholesale coast which is pretty close to unleaded prices. So that blows that theory all to heck. So much for crunching numbers. So, while people are stopping to fill up 2to3 times before I do, enjoy that convenience. Just would like to say the heated steering wheel is very nice along with the heated and cooled seats, integrated sun roof and the list goes on.

TURBO AND TRANSMISSION ISSUES AT 18000 KM

Problem started at 18000 km . Car WON'T SHIFT INTO OVERDRIVE TILL DOING 120 KM/HR AND WILL DOWNSHIFT AGAIN AT 110 WHICH PUTS RPN AT AROUND 3500 .PASSING IS SCARY AS THE TURBO HAS KICKED OUT TWICE IN THE LAST 1500 KM LEAVING THE ENGINE LIGHT ON AND A VISIT TO THE DEALER .THEY CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT ! 9.8 L /100 KM IS AVERAGE MILEAGE NOW . NOT RELIABLE SO FAR AND I AM STUCK WITH IT FOR ANOTHER 80000 KM .

It's First crossover I've owned

I love it , I wanted height, I didn't want a truck that looks like a car only a little taller. I love the technology and styling of it. It's just beautiful truck and I'm very satisfied with it. I absolutely love how they made the trunk with a botton that I can push ant have to struggle to pull it down, because I am short.

A lot better than the 2016 Equinox

This vehicle is awesome! I love how much more leg room there is for taller people. They really took that into consideration even more in the 2018. Don't get me wrong I had plenty of leg room in my 2016 Equinox, but in this 2018 it's so much more room that at 5'10, I actually had to pull the seat up, cause I couldn't reach the pedal. Which never happens. So it's very accommodating for us talls! I love the turbo engine. Oh, my goodness, so much better than the sluggish 2016 four cylinder I had. It's a better drive on the freeway, but you have to be careful, you can easily get to 80 mph at a blink of an eye. I do love that you can now use your phone's GPS through an android app on the touch screen now. That is a great feature. It can be a little annoying at first, only because it will take over your phone's screen, but you can easily opt out of it. It took me a few days to get the hang of it. I like it. The only thing that I don't care for is the interior seats are two toned and of course the dominant color is lighter than I would like. So if you have kids or grandkids, take that into consideration. Thank goodness I don't have my grandkids all the time. I'm not sure yet how it is on gas. Only because it's freezing here in Michigan and with the heat up, I know that can burn gas. So hopefully when winter is over I'll know for sure. I don't think it's terrible, but again at 19 degrees, yeah heat is up... I do have a basic LS, but I love it! It's a great vehicle. It's not too big, and it's not too small. It leaves me with all smiles!
