Excellent truck even for average build biz guy
I know I don't look like a typical truck guy and people keep reminding me about it. I'm an average sized business guy with a family of 4 and live in suburbia. Owning/driving a truck doesn't fit into what people assume about me, but let me do this review for the other "non-typical truck guys" and be on my way... I've always wanted a truck and looked off-and-on for about 16 years: Dodge, Chevy, Ford, and Honda were the main ones I looked at, but just didn't like the ride/feel of most or I didn't want the spend the money. I really did want to own the newer Honda Ridgeline. I bought into those cool commercials showing all the things you could do with that truck. That truck doesn't have a lot of cool features, but after test driving it, I hated it. It's a truck on a car frame (the Honda Pilot, I think) and that just killed it for me. So I test drove a F-150 and liked everything about it. It drives nice, is comfortable for everyone, sits high off the ground, and feels rock solid. About 6 months later after shopping online and researching it to then nth degree, I bought a new 2018 F-150 XLT Sport 4x4. So how does a suburbian family of 4 use a F-150? We drive it to ski vacations: the bed is used for luggage and equipment. The 4x4 is used in the mountains, and the family sits very comfortably in the cab. There is even room for my 2 sons and the family dog to all have their space. I've hauled grass sod by the pallet to resod my lawn, bulk mulch for improving the landscape, and filled the bed with firewood for the fireplace and firepit. (I've saved a lot of money by doing these choirs myself instead of hiring out or having it delivered, and it's good character building for the kids). When my dad moved, I was able to haul to trailers of his stuff, and fill the enter back seat area (fold up seats are awesome) with even more stuff, he was overly impressed. The truck didn't flinch. And to all my co-workers who laugh at an average business guy with a F-150? Guess who always drives us to lunch because fitting 5 adults into 1 vehicle can't be done in anyone else's BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, Audi, and Range Rover. So... yeah, I bought a F-150 and love everything about it.

Most enjoyable vehicle
Since I ordered this truck it has every button pushed. No exceptions of any kind. In the last 2 years It has been problem free except for 2 minor recalls, which my dealer repaired in less than a day both times.

Better than we hoped. 2018 Ford F-150 XLT
Shocked to find this amazing truck at the price we paid. Similar trucks had many more miles, less options, less comfort, and higher prices. Performance better than we hoped, gas mileage great for the power it has. Interior isn’t as nice as other manufacturers, but still better than older trucks. Highly recommend Ford’s F-150. Best selling for a reason.

Very comfortable for a truck. Handles very well.
Truck has a smooth ride and lots of “ get up and go” for a 2.7 liter engine. I am 6’5” tall and there is TONS of room in the cab for me and my crew.

The F150 Platinum has all the luxury you would want in a vehicle. This is my second F150 but this time I upgraded from the F150 FX4 to the Platinum. Very happy with the purchase and truck over all.

An Amazing Evolution
I owned a 2003 Suburban for 16 years. I pulled a 5,000 boat with it and put it though 6 kids and a dog with many trips to the cabin. Now that the kids are gone and the Suburban ready for replacement my eye turned to a used truck. The Suburban with the 5.3 V-8 pulled the boat, but not well - especially up and down hills. Towing was important to me, but so is comfort. I researched GM and RAM trucks, but was not satisfied with the looks or reliability. I began looking for an F150. I knew I wanted enough power for the boat, but could not really show up to the dealer with my boat for a test (and tow) drive. I decided to go for the 3.5 Ecoboost just to be sure there was enough power. I test drove a 2015 to start with and was not that inpressed. Then I drove a 2016 3.5 with the 6 speed and it was smoother and better. Then I heard the 2018's had the Gen II 3.5 EB engine with 10 speed tranny, so decided to try that engine/trans combo. What an evolution in technology, power, smoothness and towing capability! I am from just west of Minneapolis and drove to Iowa to find a 2018 4x4 Lariat with higher miles on it so it dropped down to my price range. I absolutely love the truck. The seats are very comfortable and it tows the boat way better than the suburban. I am a happy camper!

My Raptor has nothing but problems
I am not happy with the Raptor I purchased as for $80k I should not have so many issues including a new motor at 8k miles and in shop 7 times still has same issues that they can’t figure out, and Ford will not help with buy back or lemon law or trade in. I have to get an attorney to get help is what Ford said.....
