Best vehicle I've ever owned and I'm 40 y/o!
Having previously owned a 2003 Hyundai Elantra, this 2017 Elantra is amazing for the value we paid for it. You would think you have all the options and amenities that are provided with most luxury vehicles. I've owned this vehicle for 2 years now and purchased it brand new(drove off the lot with 12 miles on the odometer). In the 2 years I've owned this vehicle I have not had a single problem with it. None. The only service that has ever been needed the past 2 years is the usual oil change as needed. The style of this compact economy vehicle is like that of a high end luxury vehicle, not to mention all the options that come with it. Also, while most Americans probably view the Hyundai brand as an Asian import vehicle, it's great to know that while the "parts and components" for this vehicle are made in South Korea, the vehicle itself is manufacturered 100% here in the United States by American workers. As a patriotic American, this fact alone makes me proud to own this vehicle. To date, I have zero complaints to be made about this vehicle and I'm anxiously awaiting to see what Hyundai is going to have to offer in their vehicles of the future. In my honest opinion, Hyundai always seems to be one step ahead of the competition when it comes to style and features that their vehicles provide. I highly recommend you make the Hyundai lineup a consideration when you make your next new vehicle purchase! And if you're in the east central area of Wisconsin, check out the selection of vehicles they have at Van Horn Hyundai in Fond du Lac, WI...these guys are amazing and the customer service is amongst the best you'll receive anywhere, hands down!

Best gas mileage of any car I've ever owned
I needed a reliable, safe, economical dependable 4-door small car for my daughter to drive to work and to school and this was going to be her first car and she didn't even start driving till she was 19. I needed something that was going to keep his value and wasn't going to cost me an arm and a leg. December of 2016 I test drove and she and I bought a Hyundai Elantra together. Our price was fantastic we saved little over $4,000 with rebates and incentives. A year later almost to the date she and I bought the car she was in an accident and the vehicle was totaled. The steering wheel and Driver leg airbags saved her from serious damage when she hit somebody in the rear, she walked away without a scratch although the car was totaled. We we bought another Hyundai Elantra because we love the safety the easy driving and handling of the vehicle the controls are easy access while you're driving and of course it gets the great gas mileage. In July of 2017 we also bought our son a Hyundai Elantra and three weeks ago July of 2018 we bought my wife a Hyundai Tucson. I would recommend these cars to anyone.

Great value and gas mileage
I purchased this car as a second car for only commuting purposes. The SE version is very basic, but meets my needs. I'm 6'3" and find it comfortable. MPG so far is an average of high 30s according to the onboard computer. I would buy again, but would also consider the sonata.

Extras that count
This car is an Elantra limited. The extras included leather seats, Sirius, seat warmers and a safety package including blind spot lights and cross way warning signal when backing up. On the way home from the dealership with the car, more than one time, the blind spot lights kept me safely on track. Keeping track of that blind spot has always been a challenge, but this "extra" will now become a "must have" for me. The car rides well, has good leg room and has many pluses, but the safety features are the best by far.

Excellent highway cruiser
The 2017 Elantra Eco is an excellent highway cruiser, easily attaining over 40 miles per gallon fuel economy. I currently have 6300 miles averaging 43.06 mpg after a year of driving my Elantra Eco. I am retired with 2 cars, the other is a 2012 Toyota Prius V wagon with 20700 miles. The Prius is great for driving around town and I am averaging 44.9 miles per gallon since I bought it new in late 2012. But on the highway, the big, boxy wagon is noisy, underpowered, and I can only manage 40 to 41 miles per gallon. The Elantra Eco gets 37 to 39 mpg around town but I am retired so if you use the Eco as a commuter car, it will probably drop much lower depending on how bad your commuting traffic is. The interstate highway is where the Eco really shines. On a trip from Texas to California, I averaged 44.6 mpg, with the worst tank fill yielding 38.7 mpg and the best tank fill an unbelievable 54.3 mpg, better than any tank fill on my Prius V wagon. But more importantly, the Elantra Eco is so much quieter when cruising at 70 miles an hour on the interstate highways with lots of reserve power to pass even at this speed. The Prius wagon is straining to maintain this speed and is a lot noisier (mostly engine noise) with very little reserve power. The turbocharger on the small Elantra Eco engine produces more torque than the bigger engine on most Elantras and that torque is available over a much broader engine speed. So even though the horsepower is lower, you can feel the higher torque's pulling power in ordinary driving, which means you do not hear much engine noise because the transmission shifts to higher gears to keep the engine speed down. In acceleration tests, the smaller Eco turbo motor with the 7 speed dual clutch transmission will beat the regular bigger Elantra engine with a 6 speed automatic transmission. This shows the turbo advantage of more torque over a broad engine speed overcoming the higher horsepower rating of the bigger engine. Al of this makes the Elantra Eco such a comfortable, quiet, and effortless highway cruiser. If you do mostly highway driving, there is not need to get a hybrid car. The Elantra Eco will use less fuel than my big Prius V wagon on the freeways and get close enough to even the regular Prius sedan that you will never save enough in gasoline costs to justify the higher purchase price of the hybrid.

Most Reliable car I've owned
This car is excellent on gas! I've average about 35-42 Miles Per Gallon. This car is great for acceleration, warm or cold weather, and people who like to listen to lots of music or texting. The Bluetooth connection makes you drive safely while responding to text and calls.

A wonderful vehicle!
I just recently purchased my 2017 Hyundai Elantra SE, and I have to say it's the best vehicle I have ever owned. Its stylish and beautiful (mine is Quartz Pearl White) and the performance is amazing. It's fun to drive and sleek, it's the most enjoyable car I have drove. It's Champaign taste on a beer budget, and I have never been happier with a car in my life!!
