Very classy crossover, nice and comfortable.

I thought this vehicle was really nice the top of the line. The ride was smooth and the color was beautiful. It was a blue color but very unusual blue, but gorgeous. Everything about it was nice.

Stylish, spacious hybrid

Very impressed with the gas economy of this car but it is still stylish and comfortable. Don't feel like I'm compromising on those things with this car.

Very pleased so far

We have had our Kia Niro for about three weeks. We are very pleased with it so far. We are averaging about 53 miles per gallon for composite city and highway driving. High gas mileage and reliability were the main features we were seeking in this car, and the Niro is meeting or exceeding our expectations. Two minor negatives are (1) that the engine is sometimes a bit slow to engage and accelerate from a standstill, which can make crossing the street in traffic a bit of an issue. (2) If starting from a standstill on an uphill, it can roll back a bit, so you have to be aware of that possibility and compensate accordingly. However, on the whole it's a great car that I think will work out very well for us. A great, lower-priced alternative to the Prius.

Coolest Hybrid on the market!

This is a great vehicle. This does not look like your average hybrid. You would not know this is a hybrid unless you looked at the badge on the lift gate. This vehicle has some get up and go for a hybrid and the sport mode is awesome.

A True Marvel of machinery

Don't let anyone make you think that this vehicle isn't amazing. The amount of money it costs for a utility vehicle that has this amount of interior space, refinement and world class fuel economy is truly mind blowing. It also has the most majical EV propulsion sounds I've ever heard. This vehicle replaced my 2010 insight because I needed more space, less ridicule, and more power. Right away, I realized that the finishes of the car immediately changed my perception of the Kia/Hyundai brand. This feeling was reinforced once studied the exterior fitment and design and took it for a drive. Everything was refined, tight and worked as anticipated. When I test drove it, I honestly had no idea how to achieve the high MPG numbers that was advertised. :: You will not be able to achieve 50 MPG on a test drive :: The motor and battery are very robust, The motor and engine take turns powering the vehicle propulsion and it makes for a much higher MPG average over time. On 65 - 85 degree days on my 20 mile commute (35>55 MPH) I'm able to achieve 70 MPG. You read that correctly, 7-D MILES PER GALLON. Now, during the winter and weather events my MPG will drop more than 10 MPG; but, that isn't a bad thing. It just means that this drive-train is dialed in. If you keep your throttle within the thick green range, you will achieve at least 50MPG. As for the interior, it feels like an SUV with the ride height, handles nimbly like a car, and has enough room for the kids AND your massive Labrador Retriever (mine is about 90lbs). The seats are more comfortable in the Niro than any in my home. Only downside is that the propulsion startup takes some finesse from stop to start. There have been times where I don't come to a complete stop at a light or stop sign and the restart is discombobulated sometimes. If i followed the rules of the road, I wouldn't ever have a problem. Launches are just fine otherwise.
