Safe Car.

I bought the car for my wife who does not drive as much as me. The most important thing was safety so I bought with the Eyesight option. (1) The backup camera and display are great. The display shows a grid that shows when you are 8', 4' or 2' away from an object. It also has motion detection that sounds an alarm when there is any motion on back of the car. (2) For side to side safety it has lane drift. If you drift out of your lane there is an audible alarm. Also if there is a card in you blind spot there is a blinking warning in your side view mirror. (3) For front end safety the Eyesight system includes collision avoidance with automatic braking. Also when you are in cruise control you can set your following distance for 1, 2 or 3 seconds and the system will slow you down as you come upon a slower vehicle and automatically resume your cruising spped when you pull out to pass the vehicle. Hopefully the Auto Insurance compaines wiil soon adust their rates for these accidence avoidance features.

Good small SUV

Just bought a new Forester (2.5i Premium). So far no complaints about driving - it's comfortable, good acceleration, feels steady. One tiny issue was I found the settings menu a bit confusing - it took a while to set the clock.

Safest, and most stylish, car for the price tag.

It is safe, reliable, modern, and spacious. Love the large sunroof and the sound system. It is definitely well made and worth the money. Something I can trust to keep me aware while I'm on the road as well!

The right car for MN

We just bought a Subaru Forester Touring and love it. It drives wonderfully and has an amazing array of features that make a really fun car, especially the enormous sun roof and the very easy to use Starlink/Navigation system. What sold us on this car was the Eyesight system, which is much better than the other safety systems available on other brands for this price, and also the visibility for the driver. Other CUV's have very small windows behind the back seat, with curving rooflines, that make driving them feel claustrophobic compared to the Forester. We live in Minnesota and are looking forward to having dedicated full-time AWD during the winter, as well. This car just made sense for us.

2017 Subaru Forester Review

This is my 4th Subaru and my first Forester. My previous 3 Subarus were Outbacks. I am still getting used to the automatic. I had always driven stick shifts before. The Forester is a very nice vehicle. It's smooth and quiet. It handles very well. Can't imagine driving anything but a Subaru.

Extremely Happy with this Car

Top to bottom a very great car. Ride, visibility, safety features worked first time every time... better than any Honda, Lexus, Toyota... Eyesight is impressive. Trink space, I could go on and on. Loving it.

Excellent purchase

Got interested in this car from reading Consumer Reports and test drove it at Mid-City Subaru in Chicago. Brian Ferguson showed me all the features, which were impressive, and got me a good deal for a vehicle with so many bells and whistles. I could not be more pleased at the way the car drives, and especially at the gas mileage. Thanks Brian!

Great SUV

I bought the Forester because of the way it handled, the roominess, the features. The only thing I miss is the shifters on the steering wheel, like the Outback, Legacy and Crosstrek. I would have bought the Crosstrek, because it was smaller, but it handled rough. The storage in the back is plentiful. For me it was the right size SUV. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Subaru's are always the best cars around!

Love it. I finally said goodbye to my 2002 Forester. BIG difference. The new one is definitely bigger- for awhile I felt like I was driving a truck! Rides beautifully, smooth, great on gas- I will always buy Foresters!

searching for quality

I haven't had my car for very long and I'm still getting to know it. So far I'm very happy with the way it handles and the comfort of driving it. It will take a little time to get use to all the features that it has but I think I'll have this car for a long time.
