Time for a dramatic change

Having had 3 Priuses, 2002, 2006 and 2012, it was time to get something a bit bigger. Son doesn't have a car but does have a beautiful daughter and transporting them when we visit is impossible. We made it work by hook and crook, but now we needed something to do it right. Always liked the Highlander and had looked at other similar vehicles, but 15 yrs of owning Toyotas made the decision fairly easy. Looked at the hybrid, but the Platinum gas model fit the bill. The city mileage is not an issue since we still have our 2012 plug-in Prius for running around town. Driving 200 miles home was a pleasure. It included both Interstate 95 and local city driving we got 21 mi/gal. I highly recommend this vehicle.

2017 Highlander SE

1st 1,000 miles, so far so good, excellent quiet ride, I like the sporty look, a lot of safety features. I don't really need the 3rd row seating but this model doesn't come without that option. Would have preferred the extra storage space.

2017 Highlander Limited

I wish I would have demanded a full day test drive to become more familiar with the performance. Underwhelming pickup, and it sounds like it is working hard at normal driving levels. Plus the engine shut-off at a traffic light is annoying, and it can not be overridden as the default setting. Can not add that much economy, and one has to wonder if this will become a problem as the vehicle (and its ignition system) age. Interior materials are nice, but third row seat is cramped. Priced higher than other comparable SUVs, and not as many features for a Limited. Sound system is week as well, with no low end.

Worth every $50 dollar bill

Not cheap, but it has nearly all the bells and whistles you can think of. Safety is the buzzword for the Highlander, and comfort and driving ease are included at no extra cost.

2017 Higlander

This vehicle has out performed my widest dreams. The elecontric in this vehicle keeps you safe, like the lane departure system most importly is the ability for the vehicle to stop if you are not paying attention or worse when a car pulls in front of u.

Ragesh

I felt like third-row seat isn't as roomy as those of many competitors. Panel touchscreen and other controls may require extra touch up and look. Pick up is not so great.

New Highlander

We have owned this car for only one day but we already love it. The car drives wonderfully and is very comfortable. It has so many great features on it that it may take me several weeks to figure out what they all are. We are very happy with our purchase.

Mr. Eddie Mccrey

I would like to say that Eddie Mccrey is a God send. He has the most beautiful personality. He is very friendly and easy to work with. He does not make you feel like you are being swindled. He was very smart and knew all about each vehicle I test drove. I was not planning to purchase on this day but because of his great customer service, he made the deal! Thanks Eddie!

Excellant Safety Features

I feel safer driving this car than any other I have ever owned. It is loaded with the latest high-tech beeps and plugs. The whole car is very user-friendly. We are dog lovers and I secretly wanted a back hatch that opens separately from the tailgate. The Highlander has that feature. When it gets hot in Austin I am sure our doggies will appreciate the extra cooling. Oh yes, it is also very beautiful. I don't buy new cars often. This one definitely is a gorgeous vehicle. It is predawn gray but has a hint of ash brown.
