2006 Acura MDX consumer reviews

Bought my 2006 Honda Acura MDX Dec 26,2016. I love the room and comfort of the automobile. The third row seat is awesome for grandkids. But was taken by complete surprise when the transmision began slipping and had to be replaced with only 155,000 miles. Took my car to transmission shop. I ask if they replaced or repair a lot of Honda Acura transmissions with this low mileage I was told yes they do. Definetely by extended drivetrain warranty if have the option. I didnt. I got 3 months or 3000 miles. My transmisson went out 5 days after warranty ran out.

This car is unbelievably strong and everlasting. I've run through some mechanical issues that weren't costly at all and once repaired felt like a brand new car. It's been almost 10 years when I have purchased it and couldn't be happier having no regrets.

Great family cruiser. Reliable performance, and affordable to maintain. V6 offers decent power. It isn't fast, but it accelerates smoothly, cruises gracefully, and can tow lighter loads with little strain. AWD adds stability in all weather conditions.

I love my MDX, has never given me and mechanical problems outside of normal maintenance. The ride is very comfortable suspension wise, its roomy for all my passengers, even the 3rd row has decent space. I also DJ and man can it hold a lot of equipment when you fold the seats down. Winter time, i run over almost anything, i've never gotten stuck, just hit the 4wd button and push the pedal. Only complaint is I wish the driver had more leg space.

We have owned two MDX's. The MDX, offers most everything, someone would want in a vehicle. Leather interior, classy exterior, 4x4, navigation, etc. The MDX also sports a 3rd row for the extra passengers, or kids. It's like driving while lounging on your couch at home. I highly recommend the Acura MDX!

My Acura 2006 SUV is now 8 years old, and has 105000 miles. It is still running like a new car. Only 1 problem has occurred in its history- the alternator went at 95000 leaving me stranded in a highway. Acura immediately sent off the mechanic who eventually worked on it, at 10:30pm. Total cost, including towing was about $700.00. I'll soon be buying a new one, possibly in a year or two, but for now it's still running very well.

Its relatively Fast considering its size. Can pass by alot of cars no problem. Its got Really nice Handling. The GPS is a little outdated but its still good. Another Great car made by Honda.

I've owned this car for three years, and have not had any issues at all. It's a great alternative to driving a minivan.

very nice suve, good for everything I use it for, even take it to the beach it will go through the sand very well, if it gets stuck just turn on the differential lock and it gets right through

Our 2006 Acura MDX Touring replaced a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Not the same class of vehicle, of course: lux vs trail rated. We are absolutely happy with our MDX after four months with it. Much more volume inside, but without the large look on the outside. Only complaint is MPG, but that comes with the territory. Highly recommended!
