Disappointed Loyal Customer

Ordered the white A-Spec with red leather, purely purchased based on the looks and sporty update. I have had over 15 Acura/Honda vehicles all purchased brand new. This one is THE biggest disappointment and worst experience I have ever had with a new vehicle. From the day I drove it home with 7 miles on it to currently having 450 miles it has been one thing wrong after another. It first started with sounding like a loud creaking floor anytime you go over a bump or dip in the road. That progressively got louder and worse as it began happening around turns and mostly smooth roads. Then driving down the road doing nothing trying to change anything with the Dynamic mode, the computer started flashing and glitching with a message stating: Drive mode change unavailable. Interior brake pedal squeaks every time pedal is pushed. Drivers seat squeaks every time it moves forward or backward. Rear brakes sound like metal on metal when in reverse and as I was taking to the dealership for repairs for the 2nd time in less than a week it started sounding like I was pulling a chain behind me hitting the asphalt. NEVER have I ever purchased a brand new vehicle that has had problems. I feel like I have just purchased my first used car with everything going wrong with it. It has now been in the shop for 3 days and they have replaced the sway bar and bushings 2 different times, done an alignment and it is still making the sound and they have no idea why. So for the month that I have owned it, has been in the shop for 5 days and ongoing, who knows when I will get it back and at this point I don?t want it back. Do yourself a favor and wait a year or 2 until they get all of the problems figured out with this new model. It is not worth what you pay for the hassle you will inevitably get.

The most comfortable SUV we have owned

We test drove several higher end SUV's in this class and the RDX was teh front runner for comfort, price, and features. I am not a small guy and I have more than ample room in this SUV. It is feature rich and an absolute pleasure to drive. It is solidly built and I feel much better having my wife driving this vehicle.

Great performance and handling

Impressed with the 2.0L Turbo performance and the firm handling of the Acura RDX 2019. The simple packages simplify the decision when compared to the multiple option combinations of its competitors.

Rough Transmission transition when leaving

Do not buy 2019 RDX. I believe it has a serious transmission problem. I don't know if only my 2019 RDX has this problem but when leaving my place in the morning, the vehicle rattles when it is switching the gear to upper ones. The problem is severe especially when it's cold. I tried warming up for 5 minutes before leaving and the problem was not observed. So this vehicle requires warming up as most of vehicles in 80s or 90s did. But remember you're buying a so-called luxury vehicle paying more than 40 grand in 2019. This is really hard to reproduce at dealer because by the time I arrive at dealer, the vehicle is already warmed up and once it's warmed up the vehicle runs smoothly during the day. Another issue is this 2019 RDX is gas greedy, usually I can get a little less than 23 mile/gallon but it requires 92 octane recommended. When I'm spending money for high-end luxury version with high priced octane gas and low mileage, at least I didn't expect rattling rough transmission. Do not buy 2019 RDX, you'll regret and waste your money.

Best car I've ever owned

The 2019 Acura RDX is a dream vehicle. The technology is fantastic. I'm in my late 50's and find the use of the technology very user friendly. The interior finish is beautiful The sound system is crisp and clear. The ride is smooth and quiet. I bought one heckuva' car!

Bad Vibrations

Nice car except for the seat, door, arm rest, and floor vibrations that occur over 50 mph. Happened right off the showroom floor. Cannot recommend, unless you want to spend your free time going back and forth to the dealer for warranty repairs. No guarantee the problem will be solved.
