So far, excellent
I think it's a great car, it's the entry level model from Audi, but it clearly reflects their commitment to quality. The car meets all of my criteria including low highway noise, awesome stereo, and good gas mileage. I can't speak much of reliability since I just bought it, but Audi seems more than certain that it will last with the warranty provided. I would highly recommend getting the Bang & Olufsen stereo if you can manage it, it sounds fantastic!

Great for zipping around
This car has been great so far. It's a bit on the smaller side but if you are using it for your personal car, you'll have no problem fitting in necessary daily items. It has quick pickup and rides very smooth on the highway. The car is not the best on gas milage however. I spend a little more than average on this car for gas.

A lot of fun - and questionable reliability
I'm a longtime Audi owner, and recently purchased this car as a 1-year-old Certified Pre-Owned vehicle after owning a Volt for 3 years. The A3 delivers a fantastic driving experience as my other Audis have: that grin that comes to your face when accelerating or turning. Add to that reasonable headroom, back seat room and trunk size for a smaller car and it can be a great daily driver, especially with its great gas mileage (I get about 28 mpg around town, and 40+ on the freeway.) However, my particular A3 had its transmission fail after just an our in my possession, which was a huge disappointment. On the plus side, the warrantee (both factory and Certified Pre-Owned) kicked in and Audi took care of it over the course of 3 weeks, with a loaner car. Audi service is in general very good - and very expensive. That's the biggest downside of this car: it's expensive to purchase and maintain. The second biggest downside is lack of visibility for parking, so don't buy it without the backup camera and sensors, even though this adds heftily to the price. Also the electronics in the car are just average, as compared to some of the newest systems, or even the one in my Gen 1 Volt which eliminate the need to touch your cell phone at all for maps, music, and telephone. Each time I park, I get stressed out because everything looks closer than it is due to the short hood and trunk. I admit that switching from the smooth power and great electronics of the Volt makes this car seem less attractive to me than it might otherwise be, but I can recommend it for the driving experience and dealership experience.

If we werea Socialist Democray A3 for everyone
A3 TDI. Eveything incluing the toarch , the solid ride and never a sore back desighn of the interior is emaculate. What is offencive beyond belief is the lack of dealership responsabilety over the crises loyal customers are being put through by Audi N America's 3 rd party hamdeling the claims. We have 2 cars being turned back . Under the presure of not knowing when the Embasador will give us an appointment, we have little trust in how the sales/leasing process will provide a smooth transition to new cars or if the dealing part of the transaction will be gamed. We've been with Audi for decades.....

Great all year round convertible!
The 2015 Audi A3 convertible is a fun car to drive, performs superior to other cars I have owned and is an awesome car that enables both top down driving and sure footed traction.

Breakdown at 500 miles...
Only had car a week and it died on highway in cold rain and fog. Audi's subcontracted tow service took 80 mins to get there. Spent a week in Audi service shop mostly waiting for correct part ...fuel control unit... to arrive. Service loaner was nice. Read up on car while waiting. There's a plastic oil drain pan and no oil drain bolt. Oil has to be suctioned thru filler tube. Audi service charges $160 for an oil and filter change!

Small & Sporty, fun to drive
Very comfortable to drive, easy to handle. Nice functionality. Cup holders in strange place, not a good fit. Great trunk space, and convertible top opens and closes easy and clean.
