2002 Audi A4 consumer reviews

Extremely poor mechanical and electronic reliability. Very poor customer service from Audi. I will never consider another Audi and have been turned off by German cars in general. This car was an EXTREME disappointment.

Great car, so-so dealer. A great alternative to the BMW 3 series, with better interior and features for the money, though the handling edge goes to BMW. After a few suspension mods and chip to boost the turbo, its been a great all around car for the last 60k miles, except for several ignition coil pack failures (5 min repair, $24 part, but annoying)

I've never driven such a sweet vehicle....I had an A4 for 2 years, and regret ever getting rid of it! Hope to get another soon!

The 2002 A4 is a great car. I have the 5 speed manual transmission and this is the first German vehicle I've owned. Previously I drove Asian Imports so I had to learn the differences in the transmission. Overall the performance is much better than anything I've driven but I am dissappointed in the lack of response in first gear. The delay in turbo kick in is frustrating. The only other complaint I have about the car is related to the A/C. I live in HotLanta and A/C is critical in the 100 degree high humidity weather. The vents for the feet don't cool nearly as well as every other vehicle I've owned. I don't think they are positioned correctly so my feet are awful hot when driving. Otherwise its a beautiful, fun car to own.
