2025 Audi Q5 consumer reviews

Bought the all-new Q5 in August 2025. What a HUGE mistake. Check engine light has come on twice, both requiring significant TSB downloads from dealer. Today, the key fob did not work and we had trouble entering AND starting the vehicle. Apparently, the battery in the fob was dead--after 7 months! Audi should have never brought this vehicle to market with all of its' technical glitches. People will say buy used but I say, if I buy new, I expect value for my depreciating asset. Just got back from MB dealership, took the hit, and going back to the GLC for my wife. I simply cannot afford for her to get stuck anywhere with a check engine light or dead battery key fob. Audi USA--you should be ashamed of yourself for bringing this to market.

I purchased a 2025 Audi Q5 and began experiencing electrical problems almost immediately, with under 100 miles on the vehicle. The check engine light came on shortly after delivery and the car required multiple service visits within the first few months of ownership. At one point, the vehicle became inoperable and had to be towed. In total, it spent over 45 days at the dealership. That is unacceptable for a brand-new vehicle in this price range. I later obtained a service record showing the car had already been in the shop for low voltage faults and a check engine light event before I even purchased it. While the battery was reportedly charged prior to delivery, the same electrical instability continued after purchase. When it runs, the Q5 drives well and feels solid. However, repeated electrical failures, extended downtime, and the amount of time spent in service have completely eroded my confidence in this vehicle. For a new Audi, this experience has been extremely disappointing.
