2019 BMW 540d consumer reviews

I am a 6f + tall Amercan and I needed an upgrade from my 2015 Toyota Camry. I researched hybrids and diessel. I test drove the M5 and it is a beautiful car, it feels lke you are drving something that Petty, Earnhardt, Gordon, Johnson would drive. However, the 540D is the right combination of gas and power. You get well over the estimated 30 MPG, I think BMW is being very conservatve because I average over 40 combined, city highway. You really feel like you are drving a Toyota Corolla but you are drving a BMW. Now I highly recommend two things the x drvive which makes , BMW’s Intelligent All-Wheel Drive System and the dynamic drive control, makes it feel like a three series. The confort s not bad I am over 6f tall and I fit just fine. I will give the exterior and interior design an overall 4 out of 5. If you want a sports luxury car with a sexier design, you might want to look into a Porsche or a Mazeratti. If you want to stick with BMW or Mercedes and go with speed then the M5 or the AMGE class Benz are the way to go. This is the best middle of the road diessel sedan. If you are reading this, you are consdering buying a diessel sedan, most lkely because you are feeling the pinch on your wallet, at the gas pump. Of course then again, if you can afford a BMW, you are probably not too concerned about the rising gas costs but it is something to consider. If you want the design of your car to look a little sexier, you can opt for the M body kit. Might as well pay the $2,000 and have your car looking very nice. I never recommend purchasing new, I got a good deal on a 2018, only 12,000 miles and 20% off the original MSRP. You have a diessel car now if i had the opton to get one three years old I would but this is a new model. In fact if you go to BMW's website, you won't find the 540D, I tried looking for it.

We got most every option available. Made for a pricy purchase. This 540D has beat our expectations. With the Dynamic Handling Package it drives like a tricked out 3 series. The mileage beats BMW estimates easily. We got almost 50 mpg on our first road trip. Impressive for a 4,000 lb plus car. The only feature we don't really use, Gesture Control. Night vision really helps while driving in remote areas at night, deer and other night dwellers show up well. Even if we are saved from one collision its worth the investment. Very pleased with the car so far.
