Loving my GX

I am so pleased that I was shown the Encore GX. It’s just the right size for my needs—not too big or too small. Handles well and is nice and quiet. I LOVE the XL sunroof on the GX. I was not looking for adaptive cruise, but quickly F.A.M.E. to appreciate it on a long highway drive. Really fun, sharp-looking car with great mileage.

Really too soon to tell since I have had it for on

This car exceeded my expectations. It came loaded and all of the finishes are high quality. The 4-cylinder engine is comparable in pep to my previous 6-cylinder.

Owned for 2 weeks and in shop

I have owned this car for 2 weeks. I am the first owner. My engine light came on and onstar report claims engine and transmission system. I brought it to the shop this morning and they have to keep it over night to run tests. Is this brand new car a lemon? Time will tell... It’s a very lovely car and exceeded my expectations, but this issue saddens me and I hope no one else has this issue.

All around great vehicle

I love this machine, has everything I and my wife like, enough room for all our needs. Ride is a little stiff for some, but I like it's ride for feel of the road and the feeling of control. Buick for sure has a winner here.

A vehicle that fits my needs!

This vehicle will meet my needs very well. It is comfortable, lots of pep! and small like I like. Very comfortable for me and I hope it gets me to where ever I have to go.

2020 GX died during dealership test drive

About a quarter mile out of the dealership, check engine light popped on followed by a message that the engine power would be reduced. We stalled at an freeway off-ramp intersection and had to call the dealership. After a few off/on tries we drove the rest of the quarter mile back to the dealership just in time for it to die in their parking lot. They had no answer for why this happened, so we left immediately. We did some deep-dive research when we got one and this exact scenario has been a major problem since the 2013 Encore according to ownership reviews and forums. That is TERRIFYING.

Beautiful!

This is really an awesome small SUV. It is so luxurious inside, with plenty of options: beautiful sunroof, large multi-use screen that pairs with my Android Auto! So so happy with it!

New Owner

Very sleek exterior look. I traded a 2010 Chevy Malibu for the Encore GX. The Encore GX has alot of road noise. I am very disappointed that the hands-free technology is subpar to my Malibu. I had a 2010 Malibu and a Samsung Galaxy S10+. The Malibu was compatible with the phone even though the car was 10 years old. The Encore GX cannot be used hands-free with my phone. It's amazing to me that a 10 year old vehicle is compatible with a 1 year old phone, but a 2020 vehicle is not. To make a call, you would have to take your eyes off of the road, so that's not an option for me. I contacted Buick before purchasing this vehicle and although my phone was not on the compatibility list, the Buick customer service rep and I both thought it was just the fact that the list wasn't updated. I have contacted Buick customer service and I have written to Buick, with no response or assistance. With technology developing by leaps and bounds presently and moving forward, I'm baffled that Buick is so far behind on this vehicle. The hands-free liftgate is like a game of "where's waldo". You have to find the exact spot to kick your foot under to make it work. I've driven the Ford Edge and all you did was swipe your foot under the rear bumper. Don't spend your money on the hands-free, just use the regular button on the liftgate. I did alot of research before buying a new vehicle and noise cancellation was a big factor since I drive alot. This boasted noise cancellation, but it has alot of road noise. I really like the vehicle; however, the drawbacks are the features or lack of that you have to take your eyes off of the road to use and also, there are more options that could be visible on the drivers dashboard, but they aren't available. Buick needs to step up their game on this one!

Perfect size, great performance and economy

This was our 4th Encore, only complaint was size and performance . The new GX model solved both issues. We are very pleased especially with the new safety features.
