2020 Cadillac Escalade ESV consumer reviews

Excellent mechanical upgrade from earlier series. Handles like a vehicle half its size with great transmission and suspension. Great ride quality and overall handling. Reliable thus far - 40K miles on it with one issue needed warranty replacement (starter motor). Unfortunately, the vehicle's overall ownership experience is marred by their utterly terrible CUE system. it is called "Cadillac User Experience" when it should be called "Cadillac User Exasperation". The system and touchscreen are about a clumsy as you can get - seems as if they were designed by engineers who never actually used their own creation. The CUE fails on several levels - the touch screen is overly sensitive and non-responsive at the same time (yes, we did run the "calibrate" function several times..did not help). Second, the system fails the "reasonable user test"; you cannot fully use front/rear controls, traffic controls, vehicle controls without referring continuously to the manual (there is a separate one for CUE - a real joke). Basic functions work ok..once you try to do something slightly non-stardard whoa be unto you.... Third, the navigation system is frozen in the mid 2010's....the traffic calculation for trip time is plain wrong (yes, the XM traffic information source is connected)....this is supposed to be a top-of-the line Cadillac in 2020!! to hire someone from Audi/BMW or somewhere else to show you how to do it...simply inexcusable for a "best effort" vehicle from GM in 2020 model year, let alone 2023! Lastly, the front seats have more adjustments/controls than you can count, yet the seat are uncomfortable over long distances - (yes, a separate indecipherable manual!)...also with the seats, the heat/cooling ventilation is less effective the the first Escalade we owned (a 2007 model)....way to go Cadillac. A very good vehicle that should be MUCH better given its cost and supposed statement of the BEST that GM can do for its vehicle type...FYI..we did have the premium version...

The Escalade ESV has met or exceeded all expectations in the short time I’ve owned it. The ride is smooth, and it has all the cool “extras.” Its a 1st class ride!

this suv meets all my needs power and mileage great has alot of upgrades very smooth ride very good acceleoation like that it has led for lighting

Leased this car on 12/2/19 and it's been at the dealership 3 times for the same problems. Leaving us without a truck for our family for weeks at a time. I would not recommend anybody lease or purchase this truck

The SUV is a nice looking small truck. As so does the Acura SUV and the Honda's SUVs an the Kia SUVs etc. Caddilac should stand out all by it self. Instead it looks like all of the others SUVs out here. Please do not be afraid to think outside the box. For the price of a new caddilac SUV . Why. I could get a new hundai SUV and be just fine. Even have money to pay for a nice steak ok. Blind folded tell me what s the difference ok. The designs on these SUVs caddilac are old and should be better. For the money . No. Make a whole new design SUV inside and out . Make it an electric SUV . Ok. Thanks for letting me vent my professional opinion. Mr.mike.
