COMFY CADILLAC

My car is 15 years old. I've had it for ten. I got 29.5 mpg on my trip to Santa Barbara over Easter. Problem is is that is doesn't always start the first time. Supposedly has 'extended crank' which could mean the check valve in the fuel tank. The local dealer never could figure it out. To repair it will be cost prohibitive, so my search for the XT5 continues.

Solid Cadillac xxx

Honestly solid built car by GM, unfortunately cheap interior, my car has 105k dash has a crack on it seriously for a 54k new car it has cheap gm plastic lol but other then that I only had to replace a oil pressure switch and the ride hight sensor its been a fabulous car better then the predecessor bar none! If you keep up with the oil changes you won’t have to worry about the cam phasers going bad on you basically keep up with basic maintenance and this car (like any car) will last a long time, despite its weight and size it’s very agile because GM tuned it’s chassis at the Nurburgring hence the sigma platform overall I believe this car will be a future classic GM did the Northstar LH2 right compared to the previous Northstar generation don’t be intimidated by the Northstar name because any aluminum block design engine has its flaws, if taken care of properly this car is honestly as good as a Lexus, like I said very solid built Cadillac compared to its predecessor, I would buy another one with out a hint of regret, test drive one with a Northstar I promise you won’t regret it! Definitely lives up to the Cadillac standards other then the cheap GM plastic including the fake wood by the HVAC and radio(real wood on the door handles and steering wheel) but if you over look that then you have a definite under rated car.

This car never had any problems, effortless highway cruising and passing was a breeze. Great MPG for a 320 HP V8. All of the technology a current car has and more!

Absolutely loved this car

This has been one of the best cars ever. Really love it. It is comfortable and just drives great. As it got older and might have a problem it was never anything that was overly expensive. I found repairs to be quite reasonable

2006 xxx

With just under 70,000mi. Replaced power steering lines which leaked, six months later leaking again, sunroof stops 6inches short of shutting? Door sensors go haywire, the 2,800 dollar stereo just quit one day, fuse is good, now doors locked and unlock nonstop while driving and every warning lights stay on, engine, airbag lights, brakes, ect. But engine runs fine? Electrical nightmare, have to take whole xxxx front fender off to replace a headlight! xxx? Never had a vehicle in 30 yrs so xxxxty

A very nice luxury sort sedan

06 STS4, V8 Northstar, 5 speed auto, all the options. Just bought the car a couple days ago. I love it so far. Has 86,000 miles on it, owned by a doctor, one owner dealer maintained car. 98% perfect in all areas. Has power everything, HUD, all kinds of tech stuff to play with, great sounding 15 speaker radio system, navigation, on and on. Engine has 320 hp, car weighs over 4,000 lbs, still moves it quick with 3.23 rear gears. It is AWD so will not spin tires. Transmission shifter can be set in auto or if slipped over to the right, used as a manual automatic trans by moving shifter either up or down to pick the gear you want. Car handles really well for its huge size. It has 18 inch rims, low profile tires, electronically controlled suspension, and stability control to keep it from sliding off the road. Navigation is functional but any newer cell phone has better performance. This navigation requires updated cd to keep it current. Has Satellite radio, am/fm, aux, bluetooth, 6 cd changer, weather radio, and can play movies on DVD. Not able to use MP3 players or memory sticks, no USB ports. Too old for those. Radio sounds great though. Interior has nice quality leather, nice plastics, real wood trim inside, heated/cooled seats, heated rear seats. I always liked the German brands, BMW and Mercedes, which may be better handlers and maybe faster, but for a lot less money to buy and much less to maintain, the Caddy is better. You get 95% of the car but twice the value over the long run. Less prone to breakdown than the Germans. Still love the German cars though. Never even thought of Cadillac until they switched to RWD. Was looking at Infinity G or M series cars used, had little luck. Saw the caddy listed on FB, thought it wouldnt hurt to at least check it out just to see how it drove if anything. Fiance was needing a car, she wasnt too interested at first but went with me to test drive it. She ended up liking it more than the Infinity(which are very nice cars, but owners were liars or flakes) so we got it. It really is a fun car to drive with the AWD, sticks to the road, only downside is no burnouts or donuts, lol.
