Smoothest, quietest, most fun car I've owned

From the moment I think about going for a ride in my Bolt, to the time that I get out of it in my garage and don't smell any fumes, it makes me happy. I don't hesitate to take my car on even the smallest of rides because of it's environmental friendliness. When I sit in the driver's seat, push the power button and snap it into gear, I am delighted to be quietly moving in less than 2 seconds. Once I start moving, I enjoy the quiet and very speedy acceleration, the smooth, tight, responsive steering, and the fun of "one pedal" driving if I wish. The acceleration, steering and braking gives you the sense of driving a sports car, though caution is advised as the cornering is good, but not up to sports car standards. It provides comfortable, roominess for 4, or drop the rear seats and throw your bike in the back easily, as I do most of the time. I feel good about getting on the road, knowing that I am not directly burning fossil fuels, and so far, using nearby charging stations, re-charging has not been a problem for me. Of coarse, long trips are not an option, since it does takes all long time to re-charge (50 hours on a typical house outlet, and even 10 hours with a commercial fast charger). Overall, I love my Bolt.

First EV owned

The Bolt is my first electric car and I'm so glad I bought it. It rides very well. Has 200HP which is great when I need to jump on the highway. There are a lot of nice options. It does make you think differently about how you drive. But with the 240mile range it don't feel limited (I drive about 140miles a day). It's all about pushing the battery range further. One-pedal driving is new for me but it was easy to adjust to it & now I prefer it to standard drive. The front seat is a little firm but I think with time it will soften. It has a large infotech screen & connects easily with my iPhone. And the best thing about it is I never have to buy gasoline again.

Best Electric car for the money

I own the 2017 Chevy Volt and Bolt. The Bolt has the following advantages. Its faster, gets better mileage, has greater visibility and is larger for passengers and has more cargo space. The Volt has a smoother ride, better seats, better handling, and adaptive cruise control Both vehicles have excellent crash rating tests. Consumer Reports recently tested the Bolt against the Tesla Model S and the Bolt was tested at 250 miles for 1 charge. Performing beyond its EPA rating of 238 miles per charge. The Tesla Model S performed at 235 vs its 250 estimated. The bolt also beat the Model X which performed at 230 miles vs its 257 estimated. The Bolt is now Consumer Reports Range Champion!

My Chevy Bolt

I was quite amazed by all the new features in the Bolt. My 2016 Special Edition $60,000. Truck doesn't have any of them. I keep forgetting that I don't need to stop and get gas. I was used to stopping everyday to fill up. I was spending $900. per month on gas. I figured that I would rather put that money into a new car instead of giving it to the gas company.

Amazing EV

We traded in our 2012 Mitsubishi i-MiEV on a 2017 Chevrolet Bolt. This is a breakthrough EV. With a 230+ mile range, you drive it like a normal car. If you need AC, you turn it on. The car is comfortable, practical and with all that torque fun to drive. The Premier version. Ones with safety features like blind spot warning lights on the sideview mirrors, auto dimming headlights and crash alert that my wife loves. I also like the leather seats and upgraded stereo. Chevrolet got this one right.

Nice car

Complete vehicle. Best bang for the buck! Best vehicle in it's class. Been waiting for the availability. It's ahead of the other competitors. Head to head with the Tessa.

Barbara

I really loved this car. the reason I would not buy it is that the driver's seat is not comfortable for me. The seats need to have lumbar support. You also need lunar support for the Volt as well. I don't know why you would not consider how important that is when designing such a beautiful car. Also, I think that all of the Bolts should have an outlet for fast charging as well as 240. You should also make all of your dealerships have free charging devises throughout the country.

Love this car!

This is the first EV we have owned and we are total converts. Love the range (and we are getting far more than the 238 mile stated range) and the quick pickup. The interior feels open an spacious.
