A great car if you want an EV.

I researched EVs for several months before choosing and buying the Bolt. I really like the car, especially it?s range. I went from a full sized pickup to the bolt, so the smaller interior has taken some getting used to, but it?s not unpleasant. I really like the tech innovations that came with the car. It?s also fun to drive.

Good for so many reasons

We love our 2017 Bolt EV Premier. The acceleration is unbelievable. The one pedal setting is so easy and regenerates the battery. No jerking starts or stops. A world of information at our fingertips. So far, we have only used our recharger at home for all the charging. Our electric cost is about a quarter the cost of gasoline for our previous car. Charging stations increasing both in numbers and speed. ChargePoint maps show all stations and levels. Getting away from fossil fuels is so important to us. Now more than ever.

Good Competitor to a BMW i3

I was driving an i3, coming off a lease. When I first learned about the Bolt, I became very interested. After driving the Bolt for a couple hundred miles I feel it is equal to the i3 in (believe it or not) performance. It is superior in driving range, safety features, some technology, and size. The interior could be a little plusher and more comfortable, and it would be nice to have a built in navigation system. Although it does have Android Auto and Apple Carplay - which connects to your phone to navigate and do other functions. Overall, it seems to be a great replacement for the i3 - at a lower price.

Best car around in 2017

There is a ton of front and back room, the storage area could be a bit bigger, but still it is a good size. Fast Charging enabled us to go on several long trips, including 2700 miles to Oregon and other trips to Nevada and Northern California. Can't wait for the newer fast chargers to come out and save even more time. The ride is kind of like an SUV with a little large sedan thrown in, not too rough but not super smooth either. The new Volt has a smoother ride. No real complaints and already up to 18,000 miles in less than a year.

Leasing it. Best for local trips.

I really like this car - comfort, performance, etc, plus it's a wonderful orange color and it's helping with the climate crisis! I feel very virtuous. I've managed to get a plug installed near my parking space so I can charge it overnight. It's not for really long trips (over 150-200 miles) as finding a charging place can be difficult and it takes time to charge it.

270 miles per charge

I previously had a 2015 Leaf. The Bolt has four times the range! No more range anxiety. Also the regeneration is awesome. Also, it drives much easier. My kids said the 2015 Leaf is low tech compared to the Bolt.

Excellent Performance, Economy, Comfort

Ater having 25 cars in 52 years, I was pleasantly surprised at what an amazing car the Bolt is. I've had sedans, coupes, trucks, SUVs, and I've usually bought, but because of the fast-changing technology, it is wiser to lease than be stuck with an old-era batttery system. People who have EVs tell me it is their only car...and I can see why. This is great for weekly commutes. If you have to go on the road for a vacation or business trip, you simply rent a gas burner. Having an EV can be cheaper than owning two cars. This Bolt is amazing in terms of using energy. Today, I went 15 miles, but only used 4 actual miles because of regeneration. Every time you slow down, or stop, it generates energy back into the battery. I didn't use A/C today, but if I did it may have been more like 10 miles uses of 15 traveled. This car is quite comfortable for a small compact...plenty of headroom that I can even wear my baseball caps and still have several inches above me. No noise, no sputtering, no transmission shifts...just smooth and quick acceleration. My wife and I are starting to think we could easily have one car (she currently has a Mercedes GLK) thta is an EV. We are retired and I never put more than 50 miles a day, so even at 50 miles, I'd only have to charge in my garage once a week. I'm glad I waited for this rather than buying another brand as most of them only have a 75-90 mile range. This is EPA-rated at 238, but with regeneration, I'm getting closer to 300. Love it and would recommend.

Neat Electric Car

My first electric car. This car has all the features of a standard hatchback, but none of the drawbacks. The electric motor is surprisingly quick and performs easily. The touch and feel of the suspension is fantastic. Neat features, such as the full vehicle camera would be a great safety feature. Getting 250+ miles before re-charging is a definite plus. A nice value.

Fast and not loud

The Bolt EV is an amazing vehicle. 0 to 60 in a short time with a burnout included and the quiet power of electricity. Interior is spacious and the leather seating is firm but comfortable. Visibility is excellent and the cameras let you see it all. Wheels, trim, and paint is amazing, a real head turner.
