Awesome car. Simply the most car you can buy for the $$$. Only short coming would be for a person without home charging since DC charging is not the fastest on the Bolt. If you took a VW Golf GTI and mashed it with an old school quite, cushy Cadillac and made it cheap to own and run like say a Prius you would have the Bolt.

Small but mighty. Best value EV for first and long term cost. Great acceleration and braking, especially when using Regen paddle. Nice GM incentive to pay for 220V garage charger as it is needed for overnight recharge. I bought the EV1 model since I didn't needed heated seats in Florida, but would have liked forward crash collision braking and side mirror lane changing warning. Overall, the Bolt EV is ideal for me.

I decided it was time to "retire" our 2006 BMW M3 convertible as a second car and just keep it garaged until the sun comes out and we want a top down drive through the mountains of southwest Virginia. But my wife was not excited at the prospect of a 3rd vehicle that has no place in our retirement budget. I have been looking at EVs or plug-in hybrids but all were too expensive as a third vehicle and I had almost resigned to wait to replace our Honda Accord in a couple more years with a plug-in hybrid as range issues still bothered me with EVs (except perhaps Tesla, but didn't want a Muskmobile). When I found a Bolt Lt1 at a dealer who was willing to sell below MSRP and give me the $7500 tax rebate up front, the decision became extraordinarily simple. A brand new, pretty good electric vehicle with full warranty and a 250+ mile range for under $20K. Amazing. Likes: cheap, reasonably comfortable, lots of room for a small car, handles reasonably well, steering is good, one pedal driving is fantastic, electric motor smoothness/quiet, no gas! Chevy pays for some or all installation of a level 2 charger plug. Dislikes: In my 1LT trim, no heated seats, rake of front windshield causes "A" pillar to be in the way when making left hand turns. Just purchased the Bolt so can't speak to reliability issues. This is a perfect 2nd car. Use it for all your normal short/medium trips (most of most peoples' driving lives) and use no gas. Keep your older, larger car for road trips or when you need to carry adult passengers in back. Buy one while you can!

What a game changer! I get it now. EV is not for everyone but it is here to stay. I gave up a really nice VW for a Bolt EV. This car is a combination of all the cars I've owned. Its fun, fast, comfortable, roomy and best of all no more fuel. This car will put a smile on your face each time you drive it. It will surprise almost all cars & trucks with its instant power. If you are in the market and don't want to spend too much then get a BOLT EV. You will love it.

My first EV and I could not be happier. My gas bill is down and my electric bill has increased but not too bad. The money I have saved on gas has more than covered my electric bill increase. Great ride, comfy, and safe

My SO said it's cheap, but that's exactly what I like about it! Quick acceleration, surprisingly spacious interior, small enough to fit in the garage in front of our Harley. Comfortable seats and headrests. Road noise isn't too bad, and the ride is acceptable. Kids in the back don't complain about being uncomfortable. I like that the trunk has a second compartment. Overall, it feels fun to drive, and I like watching the regen kick in when using the one pedal driving.

This EV will not be for everyone, but for a lot of people this car will rock your world. It’s great, it checks all the boxes with very few exceptions. Here’s what I love about it, it’s fast and I mean really fast for a car this size. 200 hp is blast and it never gets old. Entering an on ramp is actually fun instead of nerve racking. You can go from 20 mph to 70 in a very few seconds. See that two car opening in traffic? No problem it’s yours as you fly into it. It is great handling and very nimble. The ride is fine and the seats comfortable. I have the 2LT model and it has all the bells and whistle’s you’ll need. Don’t hesitate buying this EV. It’s cheap compared to all others. The only downside for me is that it’s not a fast charging capable car. You can put it on a DC fast charger, but it is limited. Bottom line is if you do a lot of long range driving, that is more than 200 miles a day it’s not for you. If you drive less you will never go wrong with the Bolt. I’m 70 years old and have owned 38 cars, 24 were new and it’s the best one I’ve ever owned.
