This little Duramax diesel is the bomb!

I went from a Hyundai Accent that I had owned for 11 years to this Chevy Colorado and couldn't be happier. This diesel is super quiet all the Neighbors on the Block absolutely love and wish they had it I get absolutely no black Puff from exhaust and this is by far the quietest and I'm not joking the quietest diesel I have ever heard in my life. I get really great gas mileage it'll pull the camper or the boat with ease plus I'm loving all the handheld controls for phone and radio.

It feels really good driving my new truck

This truck does not feel like a small truck, the new Colorado feels like a full size truck and it rides awesome. I don't mind driving in heavy traffic between the way it rides and listing to music in the awesome stereo system makes the driving nice.

Colorado Z71 Duramax Crew Cab - Sweet

Gotta love this truck. So far I only have city driving experience, but getting the same mileage on my work commute I was getting with my SUV. The ride in the Z71 Off- Road is stiff for an SUV, yet very comfortable for an Off-Road 4X4. The back seat has similar room and comfort to a Silverado Extended Cab, although the edge goes to the Silverado for comfort. At the same time, the edge goes to the Colorado for the convenience of a true door for the back seat. The Duramax is quick and responsive. The turbo kicks in surprisingly early. The trailering benefits (with the trailering package) are everywhere: Built in trailer electrical connections (round and flat style), an electrical trainer brake and a Jake Brake (exhaust brake). The exhaust brake is also useful for my commute. I have a very steep hill to climb on my commute each day. Using the exhaust brake saves using my mechanical brakes for the steep descent on my return home. I trust it will be a God send in our winter deep snows

TRANSMISSION IS A BUST FOR URBAN DRIVING

WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE 8 SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION THE COLORADO IS AN A FOR VALUE. THERE ARE TO MANY THUDS,THUMPS AND CLANKS FROM TRANSMISSION IN URBAN DRIVING.

In love with my Z71 Colorado

After heavily researching both the 2017 Tacoma and 2017 Colorado I decided to stay American with the Chevy with the V6. On the street the Colorado fealt much more at home then the Toyaota. I love this truck. Plenty of power, love the style....and boy is she smooth while cruising down the highway. My only minor complaint is that at very low speeds 5 - 15 mph the transmission seems to become a little confused and it's attitude becomes a bit jerky. The mylink system is laid out nicely, very user friendly. If your looking for supreme storage features you may be disappointed. The storage pockets in the front doors is best explained as silly. Interior build quality is solid but I do wish upper trim levels offered a little more. Overall I feel like my little truck is going to take me places and I'm excited for the adventures to come. I have laser blue and it sure turns heads!! I also have the upgraded Bose stereo which is sweet!!! If you need a truck with capability and power don't just look at the taco. There is serious competition in the midsize segment and it's name is Colorado!!

Fun to drive!

The truck rides very comfottable. Very happy with my purchase. It gives me the bed of a truck with the tide of a car.

Poor fuel mileage.

The Chevy Colorado gets worse fuel mileage than the 2001 Dakota that it replaced! GM apparently has not made any progress on fuel efficiency vs. a vehicle of 16 years ago, despite all their claims and the inaccurate reviews by trade journals & magazines. Worked with dealer over several month but no improvement. Finally told that poor mileage is best it will do. Got rid of it. Very disappointed. Will not purchase a GM pickup again.
