12 year old Corvette is like new!

I live in New Orleans but I found this 2001 Corvette at Radical Motor Sports in Ramsey, New Jersey. With only 8690 miles on it, this car is like a brand new vehicle. The dealership even had someone pick me up at the airport. The transaction went very smoothly and quickly and I was on my way back to New Orleans. The car performed flawlessly on the 1700 mile road trip.

great value

The 2001 Corvette convertible is smooth, solid, and comfortable. The automatic transmission shifts with flawless power, though the 6-speed offers slightly better mileage, but 29 mpg for the automatic is still respectable for a powerful sports car. While the standard seats are comfortable, they could use beefier frames as they are prone to wear and weaken quickly. The car is an overall great value for the going prices. Extremely happy with my purchase.

Corvette are cool

I have always wanted a Corvette since I was a young boy. I knew I could never afford one much less the cost of insurance. Now that I am in my mid 50's I can afford to buy a nice used model and the insurance. I purchased an all Black convertible, it's definitely a sweet car that does not lack on performance or looks. A Corvette should never be your everyday car, it's built for fun and should only be driven and enjoyed when you just want to go for a drive when the weather is nice. It's the best value for the money and you will not be disappointed owning one.

Beautiful machine

I replaced a classic 86 Nissan 300ZX Turbo with this car so that I could have a car for driving more frequently than just to car shows or club events. My 2001 is a convertible with just 70K miles on it, so paint and overall condition were very good. In addition, because the cost was very reasonable at $17,500, I was able to take the cost savings and put them into nice upgrades, such as new foam and leather covers for the seats, new carpeting, exterior light enhancements, etc. Resulted in a new-looking car with very reliable mechanicals and a lot of fun to drive. It's also fun to modify your car as you like, and it's still cheaper than paying new-car payments every month.

Great value for the money

I purchased a 2001 corvette z06 a few months ago, and I have to say that as someone who has owned many performance vehicles (Porsche, lancer Evo, rx-7, miata turbo, etc) the corvette is by far the best for the money! Aftermarket support for both stock and performance parts is vast, the car is easy to work on, and it will smoke most cars on the street or racetrack with ease. Love my corvette!

Fun Car

I bought this car 1.5 yrs ago from a private owner. It had 47,000 mi on it and was spotless. I have had 3 other Vette's (1964,69,75) over the years and they were all fun cars to drive. Obviously there are significant differences in the mechanical and creature comfort aspects of cars 35+ years/generations apart. However, taking those differences into account and this one is tops.

2001 CORVETTE

Bought a 2001 Corvette, always wanted to purchase one but somethging always got in the way, kids, mortgage, house repairs, etc. Now that I have had the vehicle for a couple months it is great. The looks, power, handling. I bought from a private seller and it was everything he advertised on Cars.com. I would use the service again to find a vehicle. If you every wanted a Corvette do it. The interior is comfortable once you adjust the seat, the H.U.D. steering column set up for you. The only complaint is only one beverage holder. I went on-line and found an after market two cup cup holder that was designed to fit a Corvette. Now I have three. Besides that it is great. The convertable top also is easy to work with once you get the feel. To roll it up it is a great American Car.

My dream come true.

I've been a Corvette fan since I was a kid and when the C5 came out in '97 I've dreamed of owning one. I bought a 2001 convertible a few months ago and I have not been disappointed. I had driven an automatic a few days before I bought my 6-speed and I wasn't that impressed. The 6-speed is the way to go. I still can't get over the gas mileage on the highway. At 75 mph I'm getting 30+ mpg! I do like the new C6 vettes a lot but I've always liked the look of the C5 and for the price you can't beat it. The C5 vette marked a huge improvement in styling, performance and reliability. I have been extremely happy with mine.
