I've had the car now for 3 months. This is my first new car purchase in 20 years since I usually by used vehicles. I'll try and break down my review by the catagories listed above. Let's start with comfort: Being on the taller side (6'2") I find the Cruze to be pretty comfortable. It has a multitude of positions that should suit your needs. The seat is a bit on the narrow side though. The arm rest on the console slides forward to help make it useful but it does not lock in place and can find its way back to the home position if you put unknowing pressure on it to push it back. I heard they fixed this on the 2012 model but am only going off of hearsay. Performance: I bought this car for it's mileage claims and not performance. The car can get out of its own way when needed though. The little 1.4L turbo-charged engine produces some constant torque from 1800 RPM's and on. By no means a racer but I feel performance is adequate with the manual transmission. The mileage is phenomenol. I can get every bit of the 42 MPG's the manufacturer claims and more. At 63 mph and the flat lands of the midwest, I am very impressed and pleased with mpg's of this car and my combined mileage (city/hwy) is around 36+. Exterior Styling: This is subjective but I like it. To me it looks like a smaller economy version of a Cadillac. Interior Design: I'm again pleased with where the controls are for all the features. I only have one option and that is the Connectivity Package. That includes the cruise control and bluetooth hands free calling along with mp3 player connection and a leather wrap steering wheel with controls. I recommend this package if you have the i-phone or Droid and need to talk on the phone while driving. Once you sync your phone to the car, it is virtually flawless in answering or calling with it. The cruise control is a must for those top mpg's too. Not overly sure about fitting 4 adults in there comfortably for too long but you can do it. It is a smaller car but has surprisingly alot of room. The road noise is minimal too. You don't feel like you are in a Cruze when on the highway because it is relatively quiet. Value for the Money: I thought it was fair in price. Different models and different options can bring your car cost to $25K but I only paid $19K for my ECO model. You have to work your own deal at a dealership but you can barter a little. At 36-42 mpg's and only $19K with a pretty well equipped new car, I think that is quite a good value. Reliability: I've had the car for 3 months /3000 miles and haven't had any issues. Does that mean it's reliable? No, but everytime I've gone to turn the key and asked it to get me from point A to point B, it has done so. Right now my reliability is sitting at 100%. Overall: So far I'm extremely satisfied with the car. My purchase was for a work vehicle and a trip vehicle with the rising gas prices. Going to and from work has been a pleasure and the mileage on my short highway trips is outstanding. Comfort is pretty good and the driveability/handling has been nothing but impeccable. Hope this helpful.........

I was looking at a 2010 VW Jetta TDI because of the fuel economy and performance. A friend of mine recommended the Cruze. I told him there was no way I was going to buy a Chevy over a German car. Well I started researching and found the reviews to help me change my mind. After test driving one I simply had to convince my wife. This car really won me over; although I wouldn't consider or recommend any other General Motors auto I love this car. From the soft leather seat to the generous feature set for this class of car and price points I am completely satisfied with the luxury, economy, and bells and whistles.

Cruze LTZ got it right!!

I bought my Chevy Cruze LTZ Thanksgiving weekend in 2010 in Cary, NC. So I have had it for almost 14 months and almost 27,000 miles. Every week, I drive about 183 miles to Richmond, VA to work a 4-day week. My wife and I initially looked at Toyotas and Fords before going to the Chevrolet dealership. I have previously owned a Pontiac Firebird and a GTO, so I was initially not interested in a 4 cylinder, especially one as small as 1.4 liters. But I heard so many good things about the Cruze, I had to try it out. I loved it from the moment I drove it off the lot. And I am still very happy with it. 33 mpg combined at 79 mph (3000 rpm) on interstates and hard city driving. Great acceleration and not one problem with it. I highly recommend it!! Acceleration is great. It is hard to drive it conservatively--it is too much fun to drive. The body and interior styling is great, the trunk is enormous, the front bucket seats are comfortable, and the sun roof is fun to have. Love the turbocharger, although sometimes there is slight turbocharger lag. But when it kicks in, it feels like you are driving a V6. Of course, the 6 speed transmission helps keep up the rpms for acceleration. For new car tires, they seem to be great--almost 27,000 miles. and probably at least another 20,000 to go. Very quite car--makes our Highlander sound like a bus on the highway. Great sound system. Love the OnStar and XM radio. Exellent highspeed cornering--no lean or sway at all! Although it is a problem with all cars that have turbochargers, GM should try to find a way to prevent the initial slight turbocharger lag when flooring it from a standstill or sometimes when hitting passing gear. Front doors could be a little wider for easier access to the front seats. I am 6'2" tall and my head just clears the roof if I sit tall in the seat. GM should find a way to prevent rain water from driping into the trunk when raising the trunk lid after it has rained. The high performance tires are a bit stiff. Would recommend a slightly taller tire to give a slightly smoother ride without taking away from the sporty feel.

We have been doing some comparison shopping recently and just checked out this new Cruze after seeing all the ads on tv. I have to say that we were very impressed with this car compared to any of the competition. The fit and finish, material quality and overall build is far superior than anything else like Corolla, Civic, Mazda3, etc. The attention to detail like the rubberized knobs, insulated glass to avoid road noise, etc. make you feel like you're in a much more expensive car. We also own a brand new Corolla but the Cruze is just a more substantial car. Highly recommend it.

I bought my Cruze six months ago, and I absolutely love it. I cannot speak any ill of this car. I really don't know where to start. First off, the look of this car sets it apart. The exterior, especially the front grille and headlights are distinct and eexciting. Its new, sharp and has the look of quality. The interior is likewise brilliantly appointed. It is several steps above the interior of previous Chevrolet compacts. It wraps around you, lavishly styled. It does not at all have a feeling of being cheap. As for other amenities, you get a lot for the money. It is the only car in its class that I looked at that offers satellite radio or auto-shift for no extra cost on the base model. The only real qualm I have about the extras is that a car named "Cruze" does not come with standard cruise control. You have to pay $900 extra, and you get Bluetooth along with it. However, it is worth the money. And finally, the performance of the vehicle is excellent. The car has a lot of low-end torque so accelerating is easy. The transmission, though rough for the first month or so, smooths over time. In all, I could drive this car my entire life. It offers more at a lower price than some of the other compacts I considered and looks better than them as well. Chevrolet is back, baby.

I got the base LS version with the six speed manual. The only options I purchased were the connectivity package and the carpeted floor mats. The interior is crazy good with a quality of materials and fit and finish better than cars twice the price. The base engine and six speed manual work well together and it zips along well enough for me. Not a speedy car but quick enough and it's an easy engine to wind out, which I do. The ride is firm and the handling very good. I paid around 16,000 and am very, very happy. I can't comment on reliability as I've only had the car a short time.

This car is the absolute best car in its class. I would even place it in a class above. The fit and finish are excellent and the quality of materials are the best you will find in this class. I'm not sure what the previous reviwer meant by drive a Camry and you will see the difference but I had to laugh cause we own a brand new one that is already rattling. The interior trim pieces look like they were put together by kids. Take the Cruze out for a drive and you will feel and see the difference in quality. She was right in comparing it to CAMRY cause thats where it belongs. In a class above.

We decided that we didn't need to be a two pickup truck family anymore. We decided to lease a Chevy Cruze LT1. This is a great compact car with all the bells and whistles. It has great head room unlike other compacts, a plus for my husband when he is a passenger or gets to drive it. It has get up and go. The value we got for the price was fair. I am a Chevy girl through and through and even though it was difficult to give up my Silverado this car made it worth it.
