This truck pulls like a freight train. I like everything about it but the gas milage It sucks. 9 pulling trailer and 13 to 14 on the road empty with 6 speed transmission. That's is terrible. An that's only if I drive 60 mph to get the 13 to 14 mpg.

I got rid of my 2011 ford250 6.7 diesel which was nice to look at with a nice interior but had so many problems to drive and tow to go with a 2105 chevy 2500hd wt which so far is doing the job of towing etc.. The wt model isn't as nice as was my ford for bells and whistles but then again all those bells and whistles broke every other week on me so over all chevy rocks

Not great but I knew it going in. Is 4x4 but without the Z71 package so I get a very smooth almost sedan-like ride. She does work hard getting up hills but I expected it with 10,000 lbs to pull. Been a good driver in Minnesota winters. So not great, but decent enough for what I need.

I've put a little o 4,000 miles on my new 2500HD with Duramax. It has been a great truck to drive. Unloaded and going down the highway, you can go from 60-80MPH very quickly! It pulls like a freight train. The independent front suspension work really good as well. The only negatives were the DEF tank was nearly empty and had to be filled within the first 1,000 miles. So far I like this truck....

Holy disappointed...12 mpg average not towing. 8.3 mpg towing goose neck horse trailer approximately 9500 pounds. Everyone I talked to said "that will be a pulling beast" ya not so much. Lack of torque! Had a very difficult time in the hills. Why oh why does GM not use the 6.2 ltr motor for the gas option!!?? Good hp and good torque. get rid of the 6.0 in the HD line. It doesn't have enough power or torque!! Beautiful riding and driving truck tho but the 6.0 with a 4:10 rearend, bad combo....

Truck was diesel-3rd one owned this one required DEF fluid to be added. Many major problems--kept shutting off while driving. Had in G-M shops 3 times-same problem. only 11K miles. GM refused to do anything except take it to shop again-which had proved unsuccessful 3 times prior. I wholesaled the truck-buyer did not get home-it shut down again!! I have owned 30 GM vehicles, 17 purchased new. Never again after the way that ruck performed and GM treated me!

The silverado 2500HD featuring the Duramax engine mated to an Allison transmission is the most reliable truck out there. I've run Ford and Dodge as well. Ford does not have as heavy duty a frame and suspension and a troublesome engine. Dodge on the other hand has a decent engine and chassis but the transmission is made for a lawnmower. And the new 6.7 Cummins is not as reliable as the older 5.9 was. Chevrolet pickups have the best of all worlds, ride is comfortable. Your legs won't get sore on long trips. Take my advice and get the best Diesel out there if you're going to put it to work! DURAMAX

My company bought 2 2015 3500hd 4x4 four door duramax's. One is the high country and the other is the LTZ. Both have about the same options heated seats and cooled seat, both of which are awesome. When the trucks had only the stock pickup box on them we where getting mid 20s on a flat grade going 70mph. Now the weight in at 13,00+ lbs and average 14 to 16 going 70. The exhaust break is a very nice feature for stopping these heavy trucks going down hill. We are in CA so no DEF tank problems heard they dont like the cold weather. So far we have 30,00+ miles on these truck with only routine maintenance done to them. No issues what so ever. If you are in the market for a reliable work truck i cant see how you would wrong with the big chevy.

This is my first diesel and i love it. the Duramax is an amazing engine, on average is i get 18.5 mpg and from vegas to LA my best was 27.5! mpg. she does best cruising around 85mph. only thing that sucks is the DPF exhaust, i had not being able to modify it without voiding my warranty but i guess thats to be expexted. Overall its an amazing truck and i would recommend it. the diesel atleast, cant expect to get good mpg with this heavy truck using the 6.0
