A great compact car that happens to be green.

Good ride quality, ergonomics, comfort. Great acceleration for a green car. 6,000 miles so far, trouble free. Normal electric-only range has been 56 miles, best was 71.2 miles on a charge, worse 36 miles. Currently, it uses less than 4 gallons of regular gas per 1,000 miles (265mpg).

Best Value out there

I just leased a 2017 Volt, and with all of the "green" incentives it makes it one of the most affordable new vehicles to lease. Putting aside the fact that I haven't used a gallon of gas in over a week of ownership, it is also just a good car!

Love my hybrid!

The hybrid technology and the Volt in particular is awesome! The last set of diagnostics said I am getting 249 miles per gallon....love it!

Love our new Chevy Volt!

We've only had the car a week, but are so far very impressed with it. It's very responsive, has great safety features, and best of all we are doing all of our around town driving exclusively using battery power -- no gas! It's nice that it has a gas generator to take us the extra distance when we need it, and even nicer that most of our driving will never need the gas assistance! The car looks great and is fun to drive.

Dash So High I Can't See Over It

Had I been the one to test drive this remarkable car, I doubt I would have bought it. Just out of the hospital, I had my daughter check it out while I was in the passenger seat. Dash seems to tilt upward. Never had this problem with my previous car, a Toyota. Won't be able to drive it util I get a booster seat and I am not short! Couldn't believe car seat adjustments were not electric.

No More Fuel Cost

Remarkably civilized and pleasant to drive, plenty of gee-whiz for my inner tech nerd, charges overnight painlessly. Lots of get-up and scoot if I ever need it. I LOVE not buying gasoline. :D The interior is snug, but I like it that way; feels like my wife's Camaro SS. My only quibble is the left foot dead pedal is a little too high, but I've gotten used to it.

Chevy Volt LT

Bought after leasing a 1st generation Volt. The first one was good, but this one is a HUGE improvement. More leg room (I'm 6'1" and fit just fine), more power, an electric range of 54 miles, better gas mileage at 42mpg. The cabin ventilation is much improved as well. The radio has awful speakers, I changed them to component speakers with separate tweeters and woofers. Now the stereo sounds MUCH better than the Gen 1 Bose in my leased car. So the actual radio is good, but the original speakers are garbage. I also added an auto dimming mirror with Homelink. An easy modification...

Big Guy in a Little EV-Car

I love the car, I had to down size due to extra travel demands related to my job. I'm surprised at the comfort of the vehicle and its road handling. Love the styling, its and Hybrid that fits in with the other small sedans.

My Volt

I have owned my Volt for 7 months and I absolutely love this car. The car is solid and very quiet. In warm weather I exceed the claimed battery range.

Best Daily Driver

Coming from a Mercedes E320 (2001) and Audi A4 (2014), I can confidently say that the quality of the Volt is better in almost every aspect than any car you'll find in the same price range (after gov't & state rebates). The ride quality is what most surprises me. Having no engine and only one gear, accelerating and idling (lots of that in San Francisco) are smoother than any car with an internal combustion engine. Coupled with the fact that I'm getting an average of 300mpg and the Volt has become the best car I've ever owned. I knocked one star for performance because of how much power is used driving at modest highway speeds. The estimated 53 miles of electric range becomes just 35-40 miles when cruising at 70mph. On the other hand, I can consistently get over 60 miles of electric range when carefully driving locally or in traffic. Wish I had this car when I lived in LA!
