Worst Car I've Owned

Has been randomly stalling for over a month and is still not fixed. Cleaned throttle body, and when that didn't resolve the issue they replaced throttle body. Car still stalls at random times, both while moving and waiting at lights. Almost been in several accidents. All loss of power steering and control of the car. The most recent time it stalled the engine started shaking as soon as I turned the car on. I tried to restart the car, it would not start, and instead rolled backwards into the street. Luckily there was enough room for cars to go around me. Eventually I was able to start the car long enough to get it out of the street.

Excellent car

This car looks much more luxurious than it is. Beautiful lines. Very quiet. Very comfortable to drive. Enjoy the open air feel of a convertible.

Great family car

Great family car or for first time drivers. Good gas milage, 6 cylinder power instead of 4 cylinder like most of these cars. Very clean & well maintained.

Great Car

I love the way the car drives. I also like the fact that I can check the system operational at the tip of my finger. Very functional

Real Good Car. No one's dream car.

Just the right amount of style to feel good about. Good looking profile, nice interior and priced just right for what you are getting. I have the 4 cylinder, which has little zip to it, but is strong enough to go over any mountain pass highway. To summarize, the 2012 Chrysler 200 is a middle class sedan with a little more style for its class.

Good but could have been better

I bought this car new in 2012. The car I had was equipped with the 'winter package' with remote start and heated seats and the Pentastar 3.6 liter engine. If your wallet allows bypass the 4-cylinder and get the V6...its well worth it! The car got good mileage on the highway (around 30 mpg) and great pep anywhere! The interior was pretty good as well. Good feeling steering wheel and nice feeling seats. The interior wasn't particularly roomy for a taller driver like myself and the back seat was cramped if the front seats were pushed all the way back. The car developed warts over time though. The transmission had a clunky downshift when coming to a stop almost feeling like someone had bumped you from behind. The hose for the washer fluid was this rigid pvc hose that was supposed to bend when the hood was closed but still allow fluid to flow through it that ended up cracking being useless. (I cut the broken portion out and replaced it with some rubber hose from a auto parts store to fix the problem) The back brake pads, when the car was new, squealed from day like 2 or 3 when hitting the brakes while backing up. Once the rear brake pads were replaced with an aftermarket set the squealing stopped. The biggest issues were that the heater core developed a leak after only 3 years of ownership that left me with heat only blowing out of the driver's side vents in the winter. (cool air blew out the passengers side leaving the car lukewarm at best during cold winter days) Lastly the catalytic converter(s) started to cause the check engine light to come on during year 5 of ownership.

A fun car but glad I bought it used

This review is for the Chrysler 200 convertible which is a fun car to own when the sun is shining, but is definitely NOT worth the original purchase price. Overall, this car is an adequate car with surprising interior space for a convertible. There is a usable backseat which younger adults can easily fit in, but I wouldn't drive cross country back there! My biggest complaints are with the powertrain and the A/C. First, even though it's a convertible you will use the A/C on hot days and it is just adequate - definitely not as efficient as my GM vehicles. But the biggest disappointment in the engine/transmission combo. The car has a four cylinder, which wouldn't have been my first choice but when buying a used car you get what you get. The engine is definitely not as powerful as the comparable 4 cylinder in my 2012 Malibu. Around town, its fine but on the highway it is a gas hog for a four. But I blame alot of that on the transmission which is geared terribly and is always searching for the right gear. A more efficient transmission would probably make this car a lot better and add a star to my review. Overall, for the right price, you can have a lot of fun in this car with the top down. But if top-down fun isn't high on your list of must haves, you can do better in this category.

A Bang For Your Buck

I never owned a Chysler until now. I love my Chrysler 200. Rides like a Cadillac. Sleek body style and I love the Graphite color. Huge trunk area. I am overly satisfied with my purchase.
