Does a great job of meeting our needs!

This Chrysler Pacifica was the best vehicle for meeting our special needs when compared to three other mini vans that we considered. We are pleased with the Pacifica performance and style.

Good...But...

I do not own this van, however I just finished driving a rental one 1000 miles to Florida and feel I have experienced enough to write a honest review. - Good: As far as design inside and out this van is great. It has tons of storage space and the stow n go seating is awesome. As far as power; it has plenty. Also the ride quality is very good & the handling seems good for a van. Unfortunately this is where the good ends. - The bad: Sadly the bad is so bad that there is no way I would actually buy one. - 1st: This van has all of the modern day safety features one would expect, however none of them seem to work very well. In comparison to my Toyota I drive with "Safety Sense", this van falls very short. It's lane guidance is the worst I've ever experienced (Subaru, Honda, Hyundai). It will not even attempt to keep you in the lane, instead it just fears off & then starts driving you crazy with alerts (The Toyota will actually keep you in your lane). Next & probably the most dangerous is Chrysler's pedestrian avoidance. It is so inaccurate that today on I-95 while driving in the far right lane, there was a large tractor mowing the the grass about 6-8 feet off the shoulder. I didn't think anything of it because my Toyota had never given me and issue in instances like this. Suddenly out of no where the van just slammed on it's breaks & started flashing & making a loud noise. This would have been incredibly dangerous had someone been behind me. - My 2nd major complaint & also a possible danger, is the way it's adaptive cruise works. In my Toyota when u come up behind a slower can it will hit it's breaks & then when u signal to switch lanes to pass, the Toyota will start to accelerate when you start to switch lanes (as long as no one is in the other lane up ahead). However, the bad thing about the Chrysler is that it does slow down (like it should), yet when you switch lanes, it will continue slamming on the brakes, even when ur in the next lane. So if traffic is coming up u have to hit the gas, because the van will just continue breaking for a goo 3 seconds (long enough to get hit). - Lastly the transmission in this van stinks. I believe it has a 9 speed transmission & it seems to always be searching for the right gear & it does not do it smoothly at all. Honestly, I have not driven a car with such a poor performing transmission in years. - Conclusion: For 40+thousand dollars there are much better options out there. Perhaps the Toyota Sienna, which you can buy in a Hybrid & AWD & get 35+ miles to the gallon. What is the use of having all these safety features, if they can't be trusted. Please do yourself a favor &try something else. Because at the end of the day; it's still just a out of date dodge product that's all dressed up, with no real substance.

A good minivan but a little pricey

Needed a convenient "hauler" of people and cargo and this was configured the best all the new minivans offered. I really haven't had it long enough for a reliability rating.

Best vehicle I've owned

Traded in the Honda Odyssey for this and very happy we did so. Comfortable 3rd row seating. Love the stow and go feature - can load the kids in the car from inside the car with 1 seat down. Drives beautifully in snow and ice. Love all the automatic features and syncing with my phone.
