decent car

There was nothing fancy about the car, but interior & exterior were in great condition. It had plenty of room for someone 6'6" and easy storage for a bike or kids in the back. Mine was a standard transmission and I get great mileage from it. IAcceleration is ok not great, at speed it drives and handles well. Buying used I ended up putting almost another $1000 into it to get some details fixe: timing belt, exhaust gas recirc-relays, brakes & one wheel bearing.

It's not what I thought it would be.

I got my PT Cuiser in 2003. It was fine the first year or so, but then things went wrong. I've been told that there are a whole bunch of problems with my suspension system. The parts that I have replaced are very expensive. I really liked the way this car looked. Whatta ya goin' do? I told Chrysler that they're not getting my business.

Greatest car I have ever owned

Great on mileage, comfortable , great looking and can move things in back like a small pick-up truck. Take out the back seat completly and even more room. Very easy to do. Best versatile car on the road.

My First Love

I got my GT right after scoring my license. Mom was a little worried about the Turbo's power but I pointed out that the car had great safety ratings, front and side airbags and ABS brakes. With a little bit of Dad's help, she finally gave in and the PT and I have been BFFs ever since! My little GT got me through high school in style and she's now with me at college. She's never let me down and we sure have racked up the miles and smiles together. I love the car's looks and how it runs. Only complaint is the gas tank- a little small. The car gets great MPG but the small tank means you sometimes have to stop a lot on long road trips.

4-Wheel Fun

I've had PT-envy since the first time that I saw one and finally bought an '03 Cruiser (Red, leather w/spoiler) not too long ago. Been very happy with my little baby ever since. If you listen to all the bad news out there about the US car makers, it's hard to believe that something this good still comes from an American manufacturer. I've owned a bunch of Hondas and Toyotas and this car is equal to any of them! My family and I love it and would recommend one to anyone.

Way Cool Car

Best car I've ever owned! Turbo GT runs with the big dawgs and the ladies love the style. The car is super-reliable--only been in the shop for routine maintenance. Love the cargo room. Love the smart use of space.

Chrysler Got It Right!

We've happily owned a PT Cruiser GT for several years are we constantly amazed at it's reliability and versatility. It performs like a V-8 sportscar but sips gas like an econobox; it easily accommodates large passengers and oversized cargo yet parks in the smallest parking spots. It's been rock-solid reliable and a faithful member of our family. It's the Swiss Army Knife of small cars!

loser cruiser

I got this car for my 16th birthday and was pleased but not real excited. this car has been nothing but problems. A couple of months ago i had a small accident where i hit a mailbox rather than hit a minivan. i wasnt at fault. The car literally fell apart. headlight, hood, finder, bumber, etc. it wasn't a total lose but close. after i had it for 2 years the actual main computer went out. about 4 months ago the engine blew completly. it was a mess. after about $6000 of just mechanical repair the car has problems starting. i think i will ask for a new car for my 18th birthday.

Not Recommended

At 31,000 miles, I have a head gasket leaking and transmission leak from a part. The car is well cared for. I plan on getting rid of it soon.
