What a start...To the new century.

One of the first First Truck's of the new century and my first Mopar product ever, and i have to say in all honesty i am glad i did and wish i had sooner.I was always an F-150 fan & stayed away from owning a Dodge. Then i Came across an '01 Dakota Sport 4,7L Dark Grey 4x4 4.7L Magnum that has made me glad i got it.It Great condition all around including near new tire/spare and interior that had the extras but still be a "Truck" upgraded stereo system. Cool to the core is this truck, if u are the type that prefers luxury over performance and the tough growl/roar that thunders and would make ya easily imagined a HEMI will give me a least a couple hundred thousand be one factory Hurst Shifter which i makes going through the gears as it should be. Delivering 100% and will get down the highway. The Transfer Case which upgraded to a simple easy switch. The Interior on this Truck was perfect in looks, comfortability, more room and extra headspace.Lots of storage designed into it giving both Luxury & performance.I prefer manual windows, locks on a Truck and wish they would have used something other than carpet but so what.No matter if use it for work and take it offroad it will stand out above other trucks and do as the others can but have so much more rarely tapped resource of HP.This 2001 Dakota Sport nearly 20 years old now holding up while holding it's own.Having an aftermarket stereo system, window rain guards with matching bug deflector and barely used all weather tires.Came factory with tow package, bed liner that gives extra defense and working uses. Not one bad thing to truly say about it and if i did i wouldn't be able to stand myself......It is one all around Truck of the year {wish i knew} 4x4 works perfect..My firm opinion is this,as my first time trying a new truck & all that comes with getting used to it all.The larger body/interior cab size is great and every bit as roomy as a competitions full size.I would strongly recommend this exact as it is truck for truck lovers.Anyone no matter as a spare work truck to a Show Truck & everything in between,it is here...My first ever Dodge and i'm glad i got to learn a little of that real deal Mopar Madness.Try one.I dare ya!

THE GREY GHOST

This is the absolute truth as i am writing at this time of date..I recently aquired a super nice example of what i would expect from an American made Truck, and right here is every bit what a truck should be and more.I had never owned a Dodge/Chrysler product and never was a big fan of the Dakota.I have always Liked & drove F-150"s.This truck came from a trade after a chat online.I am the 3rd owner of a Gun Metal Grey Sport magnum 4.7L HO 4x4...I never thought i would love this truck and it's looks are awesome the finish is great,it has the expected usage wear.I like everything about itwhen cleanedbility to 01 4.7 HO

First pick-up. Just purchased a new one.

Very reliable pick-up. It came with almost every option and they all still work. Never driven off road. Well maintained with only brake lines replaced outside of normal wear and tear items. 84,300 miles.

Excellent Truck

This wasn't my first truck. I inharited this truck back in 2010 with 190k miles on it. It was well maintained. I have to say, this truck now has 230k miles on it. It still looks great for 13 years old. Best of all it is not always in the shop sucking up money. It has had some minor issues - very minor. It has not cost alot to maintain. Brakes and a senor that went bad. Everything in the truck still functions (A/C, Windows, cruise, CD and Tape, locks and so on) I have to agree with other comments. I hope Dodge (Ram), doesn't mess with a good thing. I would buy another one, as this one owes me nothing.

Most Reliable Work truck I have ever owned

Bought this car Three years ago with 97K miles and now has 170K miles without ONE single mechanical issue. Starts right up on cold winter mornings (-40F) without a moments hesitation. I am a carpenter and I load this truck up with a couple thousand pounds of hardwood flooring/ tiles etc. and this thing has plenty of power for a V6. I LOVE this truck and I hope dodge makes their newer trucks as dependable as this one.

great truck

I have owned my 2001 dakota sport quad cab 4.7 v8 since 2003, 32000 miles. Today it has 165000 hard miles on it. I use it to pull a 6x12 box trailer loaded up with a 750cc kawasaki side by side and other camping equipment to and from my camp in the ozerk mountains about ten times avyear plus as a car hauler a few more times a year. My wife put it into an interstate cable barier at 70 plus mph a few years ago. At that time radiator had to be replaced. At 160000 miles I finally gave it its first brake job and replaced wheel bearings. That is all other than oil changes. Great vehicle, can take a lot of abuse. Also I have a 50 pound dog that goes with me everywhere and no holes in seat yet.

Great value

Very nice truck. Love the extended cab. The one I bought has a bed liner and retractable cover. The truck had relatively low miles for a 2001 125K. Got a great deal.

Old Dakota style

This truck is crew cab, very clean interior, with a few outside nicks and unrecognizable bumps wiith few recognizable bruises. Mileage was under average for its year. Have previous owned Dakotas and prefer styling of 98-2004. No complaints about the truck, just normal wear.
