Great spare car

Terrible mpg between 9-14mpg transmission is junk had that rebuilt four wheel drive is great interior is okay not very high quality I have always had great oil pressure in my 5.2 even though some complain that it fails styling is very nice I think with the stock chrome wheels and the black trim on my slt not reliable but a great spare vehicle

Loved it. I have a 2017 now.

Bought it new in 1998 and kept it for 12 years. 5.9 V8 and 4X4 for towing my 24 ft boat. Averaged 10,000 mile a year. Never had a mechanical problem. Started showing wear on the leather seats after 12 years. Paint still looked great.

Great truck! Very reliable!

Bought 2000 Durango in 2007 with 75000 miles. Still own today and use as my emergency backup or for plowing through deep snow when needed. It has 196000 miles now and the only major repair was the blower Motor for heating and cooling. Other regular stuff like break pads, spark plugs, oil changes. I have 4.7 liter and it’s been a great truck! Gas mileage has always sucked but well worth it for its lack of repair bills. I’ll drive it until it dies because I owe it to the truck after this many years. I’ve used it for everything from going back forth to the lake, driving to work and for work when my Chevy has been broke down, Ice fishing, pulling trailers, driving through 12”s of snow or more before roads plowed. Never babied!

Best vehicle I've owned

I have owned my 98 Durango 5.9L v8 for 8 years now. I bought it at 138,000 and now have 211,000 on it. At roughly 150,000 the transmission failed and I had it replaced. Since then I have put all terrain tires on it and have been replacing worn parts. Doing work myself has saved so much money and I truely enjoy driving it. Off-road it is a beast and on road it has plenty of kick.Thisas so much space on the inside and is very comfortable. I think all i need now is a tune up. Not great on gas but there are plenty of upgrades that are affordable that can improve that. Best vehicle I've owned and I love driving it.

Gas hog/constant electrical/engine problems

It seems every dodge i've owned has been terrible. This specific SUV was HORRIBLE on gas, anywhere from 9 mpg to 12 mpg. It was in the shop alomost every other week with issues; electrical, mechanical and was not a reliable vehicle. Only plus was it had 4WD.

So far my 1998 Durango is doing very well

I've only had it for two weeks but so far so good I love it the only thing I hate is the GAS! Only thing I need is a oil change and brakes other than that I don't have any check engine light on or anything
