Rust bucket

Electrical issues, body rust, etc...sorry we bought it. Air conditioning and climate control system failed, windshield wipers defects and low mileage as well...nothing but issues.

Best car owned

Was the 2nd owner. Owned for 13 years and just recently sold. Have hated myself each day for a week. Vehicle was always maintained and never once left me stranded. Rode great and towing was perfect. Only issue was transmission went out around 130,000. Had it rebuilt and vehicle was back to running perfect.

Love these old Durangos

I ended up killing the car as I bought it used with 136000 miles on the clock and drove it 20000 miles in two years. I mainly had front end problems that nickeled and dimed me to death. The truck is fun to drive, easy to drive and the 4.7L motor is bulletproof as is the transmission. No issues with 4x4 system either. The air condition system in Chrysler vehicles of this age is very average at best so make sure that works 100% before buying the car. It can be pricey to repair. I spent $400 just to get the fan to work due to some melted connections under the passenger dashboard. But there is a lot to like. You get 7 passenger seating, ok towing ability, 4x4 in most models, a pretty nimble truck as trucks go. For a second car for the dirty stuff, it's perfect. I'd buy one again, problems and all. They're just nice trucks for their age.

Dodge Durango

This SUV was a great vehicle and it provided me with enough seating for my children. I would love to own another one.

Excellent starter car or mini project

Good vehicle. I just don't need three SUVs. I also don't have time to make the minor repairs it needs.

Great Performance for Size.

I purchased a 2001 Dodge Durango with the SLT package back around 05 and it had around 60k miles. It has ran great and the only issue I am having now is the transmission. The transmission issue is understandable due to the car having over 260k miles. If you could find one of these for under 6,000$, its a great deal.

Sacrifice MPG for Safety

I owned a 2001 Dodge Durango for about a year. In that time, the vehicle tackled snow with ease, climbed the Rocky Mountains here in Colorado, and saved me from a triple head-on collision with a concrete center divider when I hydroplaned in a rain storm. Though the vehicle's front end was 110% totaled, the cab and its contents with untouched. Ive just purchased a new(er) Dodge Durango and know I will get the same results should tragedy strike again.
