In 2020, I purchased my 2013 durango citadel used with

In 2020, I purchased my 2013 durango citadel used with 94k on it. It still had the window sticker folded in the glove compartment, it was somebody's baby! (Or so I thought..) They upgraded to rear captain seats, entertainment package, towing package, mopar running boards, awd, all the options! It looked great! First issue, LOUD buzzing coming from the windshield area when going fast. The black plastic at the bottom is warped and let's air through, and the seal around the windshield flaps. Fast. So loud! That was corrected. Next issue, the video tape on the inside of the drop down movie screen for the back went bad, kept showing a black screen, and needed replaced. Next issue, someone put a cheap battery in the car that couldn't keep up with all of the electrical upgrades, fried the computer, had to replace the computer, battery, and alternator. Next issue, check engine lights for evap system. Had to replace a canister and some other thing associated with that code. Next issue, being AWD, some type of sensor or electrical part was glitching out and causing my car to go into LOW gear by itself! And it would stay in low gear until it was ready to come out. Final issue, a gasket around the back door hinge is not sealed properly and will allow water to leak inside when it rains or going thru a car wash. Man oh man. This car has costed me so much money in the short time I have had it. I will not be buying another dodge after this.

Most reliable AMERICAN made car I’ve ever owned

I put 100,000 miles on this car (117K total). This 6 seater car has given me very little problems. Besides replacing tires and brakes a few times and keeping up on my daily oil changes, the only other problems I’ve had with this car was the replacement of the transmission radiator and radiator. There were also a few recalls on their fuel pump relay switch. Other than that, no engine problems or interior/exterior cosmetics. I highly recommend this vehicle. Especially people with children.

Smoothest ride I’ve ever owned

Leg room is no problem at all, more grip than you would expect from an SUV, great stock speakers, no mechanical issues, great car overall

Great mid-full size SUV for the money

We leased our 2013 Durango V8. It was our first and only lease so far. At the time, gas was relatively expensive, so they had a great deal on V8 leases. The V8 was not impressive. It was bigger and had to haul more weight than our Toyota 4Runner V8. But, it was more efficient. However, it didn’t deliver any improvement in performance. I was expecting the 375 HP to be much quicker. It wasn’t. It was also Sounded unrefined and coarse. However, the car did handle well in the corner and on the HW. And it was fairly quiet. Our version had the captains seats in the middle row that reduced seat count to 6. If I had to do it again, I would absolutely choose the regular bench seat and have room for 7. That way, we could have the in-laws and the kids (6total) onboard while still being able to fold down one of the third row seats for luggage. As it was, with 6 onboard, luggage space was tight, and on vacations, people had to have some bags in their lap. Dodge also introduced an 8 speed auto a couple years later that improved acceleration as well as fuel economy. I wouldn’t mind buying a used version of that.

Great car! Especially for the money!

I've only had one problem in which I had to change the oil pressure sensor. It wasn't a big deal. Reliable and is just a great car all around!

Very reliable and fun to drive

This car is perfect for a family who likes going on trips. It is very comfortable and has plenty of safety features that makes me feel comfortable driving. It is also very strong with the 5.7L V8 engine that allows us to tow. I also like the fact that it has a dipstick on the transmission which allows me to check the level and perform the service instead of taking to a dealer.

Our family needed a second car and I saw this dodge Durango on their website and I was set on getting it. It's reliable and comes in handy when our family car needs work done.

The Hemi engine is amazing for power!

Although I have had many Jeeps, this is the first Dodge I have owned. I was very surprised by the leg room, the ride is awesome, and the 3rd row seating worked great for the grandkids. The biggest surprise was the transmission. It has a low range just like the Jeep. ( Dodge & Jeep are made by the same Co. ) Also has the tow package & the Hemi engine. Actually bought it to pull a travel trailer but never bought one.
