Great Plug In
America made great plug-in vehicle. Battery is still holding up pretty well. Not slow like the prius and other hybrids Good Hybrid MPG after the battery has been depleted.

much better ride then a prius
amazed how much better my back feels driving this car compared to the Prius I had before (I also dont have to sit bow legged like I did in the Prius). I did average more mpg with the Prius but everything else is a lot better in every way. I have noticed that they seem to not resell that well so a lower price is a must when buying them compared to a Prius. If it matches the reliability in time that a Prius gives its a no brainer to get this vehicle.

Trouble: No key detected!
I used this vehicle for daily commute about 15 miles with plug-in charge fully. No problem until yestoday when dashboard info showed " No key detected." The car will not start with both current and reserve keys. Change new battery of the key won't help! It is dead in my garage. What am I supposed to do?

Pleasantly Surprised
I wasn't planning on buying a car. I went into the dealership to look and my salesman pulled some strings to get me approved and this was the only car that I looked at. Since I bought it used, I was a little skeptical, but this has turned out to be such a great car!

I hoped for more.
I felt the car held significant potential however it seems as though Ford gave up. They never marketed it !adequately and most sefinately stopped further commitment to make any improvements. This was clearly a case where its finest hour was never realized. I wish this hadn't been the case as it is comfortable and efficient.

Owner review
I think it's one of the best commuters you can buy. Great mileage and comfort for a reasonable MSRP. The market is getting more competitive, but you cannot go wrong with this Ford.

It sold me during the test drive.
It's a great car. Gets great gas mileage and very comfortable to drive. It comes with all the bells and whistles. Navigation, back up camera, foot activated rear trunk. Self parking is a real trip! The Sony sound system is superb. Also has Ford sync and satellite radio. Bluetooth and USB inputs. Keyless entry with push button start. Keep track of charging and location with the mobile app. Best part is it's all electric for the first 20 miles or so. Enough for days around town. If your commute is short you'll rarely buy gas!

Comfortable with techie features
I have a 40 mile commute in mixed city/interstate traffic and get 50 mpg average by plugging-in every night. Weekend is gas free for short trips. Switch from electric to gas is nearly seamless. Driver sits high but tall drivers have plenty of head room. Back seat is roomier that other compacts. Very good visibility and optional 8" screen gives a clear view of rear and easy access to touch screen. I had a head-on crash in my first C-Max at 35 mph and walked away with only a sore chest from seat belt.

Very disappointed
As soon as the warranty expired on the battery, The charge will only reach 14 miles instead of the 20 to 22 it used to get. Dealer was unable to address that. The outside sensors stopped working. The touch screen, of and on, looses the radio station identifiers. The clock sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Occasionally, there is a loud tone when the car is started with no indication why and does not go off even when car is restarted.
