Bought mine from a grandma with 146k.
Bought mine from a grandma with 146k. Never have had an issue with it and has the most comfortable ride ever. Also the v8 is very nice. Has surprisingly good handling and performance for its age. Dead reliable too. Doesn’t leak a drop of anything.

Excellent vehicle for the price!
Terrific value for a well kept one owner family travel vehicle. Plenty of interior room to enjoy a relaxing ride locally or on the open highway.

This car is reliable if maintenance is done on it.
This car is reliable, smooth riding and has plenty of trunk space. For the safety of you and you're families. Every owner of a 1992 to 2011 crown Victoria and mercury Grand Marquis needs to have the plastic safety shield put on the rear axle to prevent a fire from a high speed rear impact crash. You or a mechanic needs to file down the tabs on the rear axle before the plastic safety shield can be installed.

Fantastic First Car!
I purchased my 2000 Crown Victoria from a family member when I turned 16, and have grown to really love the car. It's a very simple and easy car to maintain that has a lot of great characteristics. For a car that weighs two tons and is now almost 20 years old it still gets ludicrous gas mileage at 18-20 mpg. This car, being the modular 4.6L, shares most parts with vehicles like the marauder and mustang giving the opportunity for some fun power boosts. The handling is decent for how large it is, and is extremely comfortable and quiet. My only complaint is the deterioration on the frame from rust, however this is mostly a product of the environment it lived in (Southern Wisconsin). Overall this is a great car that is perfect for someone looking for simple quality on the cheap.

Great vehicle for the value. A great work for or first car for budget minded individuals. Ton of these available from the police force now available as great commuter vehicles.

Last of the classics
I bought my 2001 Crown Vic in July 2013 with only 50,000 miles on it. This is an amazing car for the money. The 4.6 Liter V8 has plenty of power but gets ridiculously great gas mileage for a 2 ton car. The interior comfort is great, there are no electronic frills to go wrong, has full instrumentation and everything is easy to see, read, and use. This is the way cars used to be and for some of us Old Schoolers, its a blessing. Rear wheel drive, incredibly reliable, and so easy to drive. It literally reminds me of the old Impalas, Galaxies, etc of the late 60's and early 70's. And talk about easy to work on, just like they used to be. I never for a minute thought I would own and drive a Vic, but when it came time to buy a new used car, I did my research as I always do and my dealership had an emerald green 01. After reading countless consumer reviews and ratings of this car and how current owners raved about their older Crown Vics, I couldn't ignore what was painfully obvious. That these cars can go hundreds of thousands of miles with little maintenance and high reliability. I'm so glad I did that research and followed through with the results, have not once regretted buying this car.

Reliable Police Car
I enjoy this vehicle! Its fast enough and air conditioning blows very cold! Ford built a tough vehicle that was made to last! Deeply sadden that they decided not to rebuild the vehicle with a better power plant and better interior features for law enforcement. Vehicle has plenty work space just lack of power and the weight of the sedan couldve been lessoned. I love it.
