Feel safe and comfortable drive this car.
The comfort, styling and features are awesome. Learned within a day or two how quickly the heating system to defrost the windows works. The sound system is awesome and fuel mileage is Top Shelf. Rear storage is plenty large enough for all my firefighting gear also.

Overall a good car for my needs
I originally considered purchasing the Ford EcoSport but that only had a safety rating of 3 for rollovers, and probably was too small for my needs. So, I decided to go with the Ford Escape which is slightly bigger as well as had a better safety rating while still being within my budget. Here's a breakdown of my ratings: Comfort: I rated this as Excellent, although I figure this would vary based on all the shapes and sizes of the individual. Performance: I went with a vehicle with 4 cyl, and I expected the performance not to be the same as, let's say, a V8. I previously owned a Honda Fit with a 4 cyl, and I notice in both cars there is somewhat of a 'struggle' to get going (could just be me?). Exterior Styling: I rated as Excellent as there seemed to have been thought that was put in to the design. Interior Design: The interior is just as stylish as the exterior. All the controls seem to be placed just where they should be; although it took me about 5 minutes to figure out where the hood release latch was and another 2 or 3 minutes to find the parking break, but that is my fault for not reading the user manual. The other item I would like to point is when the rear seats are folded down, the seats stick up more than the rest of the rear. This might be an issue for some, and is one of the reasons why I bought a Honda Fit a few years back (Seats stick up higher in previous year Ford Escape models too). The difference now is that my needs have changed and I was looking for something bigger than a Honda Fit. Value for the Money: I ranked this as Excellent as I purchased the car during the Year-End clearance special and got a good price. I would rank this less if it were not for the incentives offered. Reliability: Too soon to tell? But with the manufacturers warranty and the fact that it is a new car, I would expect it to be reliable (that's why I bought new versus used). Overall I gave this vehicle a rating of GOOD.

The most expensive car I've ever owned. I love it
I love the way it looks. A beautiful red Escape Titanium that I didn't think I would ever be able to have. It is my retirement present to myself.

So far, so good.
We just purchased our 2018 Ford Escape, and so far are very pleased with it. It has all the performance and economy we need, and more technology than these two dinosaurs could ever use, or even understand. We were looking for a CD player, not a sound system that could access my Pandora playlist from my phone and allow me to talk hands-free with a touch of a button on my steering wheel. All good stuff, and at a price well within our budget. The extensive safety features were a great help with the insurance premiums, which went up only a few dollars over what we were paying on the car we were replacing, an '05 Scion XB. The car came with an extensive warranty, so we are looking forward to many years of pleasurable travel in this vehicle.

Not a Bad vehicle but wish the mileage was better
I purchased this vehicle and have drove it now for 5 month's. For most part it's comfortable, road noise a bit loud inside the cabin. Touch screen is ok, Android Auto can be a pain at time's with the phone app. Not to keen how it get's in the way of my cell phone at car start up. To many swipes of the screen to get my home screen back on the phone. Biggest complaint, the mileage. For a small SUV on the Focus platform mileage stinks, period! Average below 30 mpg and I do a lot of highway driving and use my cruise at posted speeds 90% time. My 2013 Focus averaged 38-43 mpg quite a difference and that's with the Eco-boost engine set up.

My first New Car
Comfortable, drives great, great on gas. Love my new ride. Went in looking for a used vehicle and ended up with a new one. Could not ask for a better vehicle.

All my fords are very reliable. Great maintenance
Great maintenance deal with free oil changes for the time I own it. Wish it was transferable to other dealers if you move. Like the features, however, needs garage door and gate opening features as standard equipment. A must for most car owners.

Great decision!!
Love this car. My wife and I were looking for something affordable, with a lot of room. The Escape has it all! Very easy to use the Sync 3 and a very smooth ride.

Great Vehicle But Poor Visibility In Rear Glass
I am not a fan of the newer Escape (2013-2018) that mirrors the Hyundai Tuscon, etc. Safety and good visibility should be paramount in a vehicle design, and the 2018 Escape lacks that with a tiny back up camera (poor design), and a smaller rear window that limits visibility when in reverse. The back up camera display in the interior should have been at least 5" wide not a tiny thing that seems like an afterthought! It rides like a crossover instead of a truck, as I've owned two Ford Escapes like a 2007 & 2011 model. The tires are smaller too, and it all relates to a crossover feel despite nicer interior, good led head lights which are better than older models for safety. There is no doubt that the height of the 2018 Escape is shorter than the 2007-2012 model. The 1.5 turbo engine gives you "pep" and is better on fuel than the 2.0 liter engine. The one big downfall of the Escape other than poor design mentioned herein, is fuel economy as it is less than other competitors, fact. Our 2018 is less than one week old, and it will take time to grow on us despite the heated cloth seats which is a bonus during winter season.

Only own it for a month but so far so good...
Backup camera is so small I don't even use it... and I hate the Auto-Stop feature you can;t permanently turn it off... They should leave the choice of of this feature to the driver... Other than that I am completely satisfied...
