For those of you that don't like the over reliance on the

For those of you that don't like the over reliance on the computer dash for things like the AC.. Ford did not start doing that till mid 2023.. when looking at 2023 models, look carefully at the dashboard. some have a smaller computer screen and the 2 knobs and buttons that regulate the AC. those are the ones you want.. they also are $4-5K cheaper than the models that have the larger screens and no physical AC buttons so win-win.

I bought my car brand new in 2023.

I bought my car brand new in 2023. It was under 100 miles. A couple months ago, the screen in my vehicle went black. The dealership fixed it and it was under warranty, but I was without a vehicle for a week. On June 22nd, we were leaving on vacation and we were 2 hours into our trip. The vehicle threw the low coolant/engine overheat error. We got my car back to our hometown. My vehicle was taken to the dealership. There is a service request on the vehicle did this issue. I picked my vehicle up when we got back and last weekend, it threw the error again. It is now day 5 and I have no vehicle and no estimated timeframe for repair. My vehicle has less than 9,000 miles on it. This is the 3rd time in the shop. Currently, no estimated time for repair and I have no vehicle. A vehicle this new should not be in the shop.

In December 2023 I bought a new-used 2023 Ford escape

In December 2023 I bought a new-used 2023 Ford escape with only 1100 miles on it. So it was basically a brand new car, and I got it at a discount because it was used so it was very well worth the money. It’s been an awesome car but I have one complaint: there is way too much reliability on the electronic display. All of the cars systems run through that including the air conditioner!! The problem is, like any computer, it doesn’t always immediately boot up upon starting the car, sometimes it takes a few minutes to get going, and in the meantime you are absolutely burning up! There is no way to turn the air conditioner on via the dashboard!! I simply do not understand why they couldn’t just put simple dials on the dashboard to turn the air conditioner on, As cars have had for many many decades now. It’s really ridiculous. I live in Georgia and it’s 98° and 80% humidity, I need the air conditioner to start blasting as soon as I get in the car! But that’s really my only complaint , it is an awesome car otherwise.

Honest review 2023 Ford Escape ST

Wind noise drivers side window common complaint in Escape (check the internet) not just this year. Ford says its production defect and can't fix. Ruins it for me and I wouldn't buy again. No written owners manual hard to find info. Ride is a bit hard but acceptable. Hatch window doesn't open as compared to much earlier models. Rear folding seats don't fold flat. Radio and fan controls on screen and difficult to maneuver. You'll be looking at the screen a lot. Can't set the default ride setting-it reverts to normal when car is turned off (I have to keep switching it to eco mode). I have the hybrid (not plug in) and the drivetrain works great with very good milage. Without the wind noise a pretty good vehicle despite the above. I'd sell mine if I could.

Escapes rule

I have owned Ford Escapes for my past three cars. The 2023 is my favorite. Smooth ride The display is so much larger. The adjustable rear seats are an added bonus

They keep getting better

My fifth Escape and the best yet. I have the Platinum model and enjoy the many features that have been added. Wish they still are a hard owners manual.

No better value for a new car

This is the second Escape I've leased in the past 3 years. For me it couldn't be more perfect. I get 34mpg+, there is plenty of loadspace and it has plenty of power. The all wheel drive feature is a blessing in bad weather and handles snow as well as the full time 4wd vehicles I've owned. My only complaint is the complicated dashboard. It causes driver distraction trying to adjust anything. Bigger buttons and lettering is a much needed improvement. The design shows FORD's former relationship with VOLVO. (I had considered a VOLVO also) Some of my friends have said they like my new VOLVO. In fact I have seen a few that can't be told apart (a problem when I forget where I parked!). The dealer (Riverhead FORD) is the best.

Escape 2023 ST Line Select AWD

This is my first "smart car", so I'm still getting used to the new screen and all the synchronous features. The big screen is a nice size. I love the new exterior styling and the color(carbonized gray). The interior is very comfortable per the seating and the power seat works good. I like the automatic dimming of the headlights. The overhead sunglasses storage is great. There is lots of room for the rear passengers plus charging ports and a 12v socket. Locking and unlocking can be done by touch on the front door handles if you keep the fob within 3' of the door. Rear hatch door works the same way. As for driving the acceleration and the transmission is very smooth and quiet. Also the suspension handles bumps well. There is a blind spot warning and lane keeping feature which can be turn on/off from the steering wheel. Adaptive speed control has to be tried yet. I have 2 front heated seats for wintertime and a heated steering wheel. Your smartphone automatically is activated once initial login is done. There is a spot for your phone on the console with charging ports + 12v socket. In reverse there is a cross traffic alert that works good and evasive steering assist which I don't yet know how or what it does. I might be writing too much here so I'll just say I like the Escape very much.

Great car with a few faults

I bought this car to upgrade the features of my 2022 Escape. The 2023, with the tech and the LARGE center screen is a great car. The wireless CarPlay is really nice and very convenient. It is very comfortable and the power seat adjusts to just right for whoever is driving. The standard sound system is perfectly fine for anyone not a music snob. But, you knew there had to be one, a few complaints. The MyView shows what it chooses in spite of what you select from the menu. To see your choices you have to select one each time. The front power windows are not auto up/down. Come on. Rear headrest adjustment is not easy without the aid of a third hand. You can't choose a default display for the center screen. You get Ford's default and then you can switch to whichever you want. And most annoyingly, the stupid seat belt nanny screen that requires pushing the OK button every time or waiting 60 seconds for it to go away.
