i bought this car second hand in 2008 and it has worked really great. i had to fix it a couple of times but its a good car if you take care of it. back in 2010 i drove it all the way to arizona and thankfully nothing bad happened considering its an old car. The price i got it for was 3,000. Best 3,000 i have ever used.

This car got me from home, to work, to college, and back. Very comfortable drive and the handling was like a dream. The gas mileage is arguably the biggest push point to buy. Approx. 30 mpg. If you have the option to buy this car, I highly recommend it. She will be one of if not the most reliable little car you ever drive if you take care of her.

I loved the car. I named her Berths. She had the most beautiful stance. Green with two gold stripes running down her sides. I wish I never sold her because she was amazing on gas, she got 30 miles to the gallon, at a healthy age of 175000 miles. The feeling I got when I sat in the drivers seat was unmatched. It felt like I could go anywhere and do anything. If I could I'd try to get the escort back. She drove like you were on a cloud.

It ran perfect and never needed any work at all. I bought the manual transmission version for a bargain a few years back and it was a fun reliable little car!

This car is by far the best choice for a starter car or for the person who just likes to go and not have to worry. The only issue you could have with this car being a two door coupe is if you have small children still in rear facing car seats but my older children love climbing into their car seats in the backseat because they sitt up high and can see everything. Any issues I've had with this car have been minor fixes. And this car is definitely an easy car to work on yourself and save money you'd normally pay a mechanic. Besides issues with rocker panels rotting out and the floor behind the drivers seat this car takes a beating and keeps on ticking. I use it like it is an off road pick-up and take it to many Rocky and dangerous terrain areas and it has always got me back home safely and in one piece. I've actually purchased another 1999 escort zx2 to fix up and also drive it too and would buy yet another one in a heartbeat.

I have had this car since I was 15. I am currently 21 years old and it is still in good conditions. Its not the most prettiest car, but it drives me across the state all the time for school and I feel safe driving it.

I love this car it has got me to so many places that I've needed to go , it might be small but it's an excellent car.
