2011 Ford Explorer consumer reviews

I got the xlt explorer. I had it a few months and im still happy, so far so good no problems. It has plenty of power and torque so it will get you right down on the highway. I average about 20 mpg a tank which is better than my old Envoy that got 15mpg. I also love the sunroof and the sync feature.

I love the look of the car especially the interior of the 100% reinvented Ford Explorer. Amazing fuel econemy can get me across town with hardly even using 2 gallons of gas. And of course there are more ideas and features in this car than any other like the caps-less fuel, key-less entry, automatic parallel parking, blind spot warning, dual sunroof, 3rd row seating, cargo bed that folds completely flat, curve control, Terrain Management System, Plus Collision Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Trailer Sway Control, and of course SYNC with MyFord Touch which gives you many more features. Love the new Explorer and really recommend it to all.

this is the 3rd explorer,and its the best,,,power,handling,dealer prep,and the back up camera is wonderful.

MyTouch screen stopped working 24 hrs after I picked up the vehicle. After waiting another 4 days to get it replaced, the dealer installed the wrong module. Now I have radio and AC but no Navigation. The 2nd row controls don't work either. Too bad because the good be a very nice vehicle. Ride and roominess are a plus.

I like the functionality of this SUV. Not too large, handles well, and offers the flexibility of a third row seat or more cargo space with the third row seat folded down Love My Ford Touch, and the power lift gate. The only criticism is the poor visibility through the back and side windows. This vehicle has it's blind spots.

After having a 1995 and 2006 Explorers, I can honestly say that I am blown away by the recent improvements to date. Currently have a Hon@# and WILL Definitely go back to the Explorer within the next 30 days! The wife loves all the interior improvements and I love the exterior profile, the ride and stability! Welcome back in the garage Ford......my reward to you for not getting on the bailout train! Wait until my friends get a load of ME in the NEW Explorer this college football tailgate season!!!

2 road trips and so comfortable! Camping is a breeze. A definite head turner, and compliment getter.

After six weeks and 1,200 miles, we consider our 2011 Explorer LTD superior to our three previous SUVs (2002 Yukon, 2004 Volvo XC90, and a 2008 Toyota Highlander) when measured by build quality, ride, performance and real mileage cahieved.

Just picked mine up and I must say this is the nicest vehicle I've ever sat in. Its technology was a must have for me and I'm finding out its much easier to use than others say it is. Great vehicle very safe. Buy one!

This SUV would have recieved 5 stars accross the board had it not been for one flaw I'm surprised Ford didn't catch. If you have a size 10+ foot the brake pedal bar will meet your foot before the brake pad does. I've seen a few other reports of this and Ford has yet to address the issue. Outside of that it's been a car like ride with just the right amount a room and tech to satisfy the family.
