Switched from Jeep Grand Cherokee to Ford Explorer
Recently traded my 08 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland (4x4, HEMI V8), and purchased 2014 Ford Explorer Sport with 3.5L V6 with twin turbo. Black exterior with black trims and black interior is a bit too dark (and mean looking), and wish Ford offered a lighter color (white) leather for the inside... The car rides very tight (thanks to the Sport upgrades) and more comfortable than my old Jeep. I appreciate the extra large cargo area (due to the 3rd row seats) to fit all my gears plus some. MyFordTouch/SYNC is ok, not great, but not as bad as some people say about it. Turning circle can be better, in my opinion. I recommend you test drive the Explorer on city streets, highways and mall/store parking lots.

Solid Vehicle
I bought the XLT version of the 2014 Explorer and the vehicle exceeded my expectations. The handling and braking along with the safety features won me over. The styling of the vehicle in my opinion is better than any of the competitors. I never bought a Ford before but I must say this one won me over.

6th Ford and counting
Terrific vehicle. All electronic braking and steering make it very responsive and easy to drive. With adaptive cruise and park assist package almost drives itself but still has sporty feel.

Great SUV
I bought the 2014 Explorer XLT in Dark Side Metallic color. It's a new color for 2014 and I must say, it's definitely different than any other black I have seen. It has a blueish color or dark black depending on the lighting and time of day. It's mostly black but has nice sparkly blue/green stuff in it in the sun. Comfort is very nice. Car is only 7 days old and already put 1800 miles on it. I have the 3.5L V6 and I got 26mpg on highway which is better than advertised. I wasn't even babying the car to get that mileage. I live in Texas and drove to Arkansas back to back 3 times and no problems. Backup camera is great with guidance lines, navigation system is very up to date, and leather seats are that much more comfortable. I traded in a 2012 Chevy Cruze. That was a good car too but I needed the extra space and be able to ride comfortably over long trips. My Ford touch is a lot more responsive and I knew those were a problem with 2011 and 2012 models. So I waited for 2014 and no freezes or crashes at all. It's been a great SUV so far.

Love the new explorer!
Just bought a new 2014 this past week, traded in a 2006 explorer, just not ready to get a car! Very roomy inside, still learning the sync system, love the back up camera as well, hope to have this car for a long time!

Car I Just Purchased
Car handles great. It comes with many features which some are standard. If you are in the market for a good SUV, check out the Explorer. It is stylish, and most of all fuel efficient. It also has the sync system which is a great safety feature. It also has a good crash rating.

Great SUV
Bought from Don Vance Ford in Marshfield, Missouri. Great Experience! Josh Barnhart was a terrific salesman. Never had a salesman spend so much time explaining how everything worked, even after we sign on the bottom line. Will go back again and tell all our friends!

Generally an excellant car
This is fully loaded limited model. I really have fun with it. Don't bother will the cross bar unless absolutely necessary as they produce much noise that can't be abated. Also the explorer has little space for storing things like pungy cords, flares, etc. there is sufficient storage in front for personal items. Over all a fun car and rides fairly smooth.
