I bought my truck new and it's still running great with over 260K miles. I changed the oil every 3K then switched years ago to synthetic and know every 5K and transmission fluid every 30K. I maintain the vehicle when required per owners manual if not before. This truck has gone everywhere hunting and driving the back roads of Arizona and now Alabama. Never had a quad or sidexside as my truck served that roll. Very satisfied as vehicle has cost me on average $154.33 a month to maintain over the past 238 months since new.

I love my truck it has 122000 mikes in it.
I love my truck it has 122000 mikes in it. Repairs on wheels bearing, 1000.00 per wheel 700.00 shift actuator assembly. Has a random periodic 2 sec hesitation every once and awhile but goes right back to normal diving with not codes or check engine light ever on. Not fixed it pulls my 2 horse trailer loaded with 2 heavy horses with no problem..

I bought a brand new 2004 XL Heritage 4.
I bought a brand new 2004 XL Heritage 4.2l V6 supercab. Manual doors and windows. It’s now 2024 and this has been the single most reliable vehicle I’ve ever had. Plan on driving it until they stop selling gasoline. In 20 years it’s been just tires, brakes, plugs and oil changes. All my family has gone through several vehicles in the meantime.

these trucks are by far underrated.
these trucks are by far underrated. extremely reliable and tows excellent. these trucks last long if u maintain it. everyone talking about heavy maintenance/well guys these are 20 year old trucks now. rust needs to be kept after and the engine 5.4 is very reliable. no issues, keep oil in it and it will treat u well 240k miles and still going strong. people say these are the worst years for the f150 well, I can't imagine a better one.

Couldn't imagine driving anything else
When it comes to Ford performance, this truck has taken us to many places and has been very reliable. The whole family can sit comfortably in it during long drives, and it has the power to get out of sticky situations. An F-150 is the truck to have.

Excellent truck not a problem
I own the 2004 Ford F-150 4.2 engine with a 5 speed Heritage edition!!! Now I put this truck through some stuff so with that said here we go! I have replaced the rear end twice. And the alternator twice. I have drove this truck almost 225,000 miles now and that is all I’ve done to it! I am the second owner of it. My father bought it brand new. No extras. Hand crank windows no power seats..who wants more stuff to break anyway? Air conditioning will run you out and the heater...well my girlfriend loves it. I hate it! To darn hot for me!! 🥵 So all and all not a single complaint about this truck! Still runs solid w/o any issues!! Oh! Forgot to mention..This truck has been slammed sideways into a pole👈🏼Dad got accelerator happy in the snow. A tree fall on it and bust EVERY window including windshield and back window PLUS...DAD again 😒 forgot to set the emergency break and also forgot to leave it in 1st and it rolled away and ran into a set of concrete steps! AND STILL she runs and is my daily driver with no issues!!!
